Do you have to have a lead lined room for C-Arm for in office procedures?

Each state has their own rules for radiation lining of rooms, although it appears most have abandoned such requirements for C-arms. In our state, as long as there is a reasonable perimeter and there are no waiting rooms with chairs lining the walls adjacent to the fluoroscopy suite, generally lead shielding is not required. You should check into before purchasing the C-arm through your state health department radiation safety division

not needed in Florida...when the inspector comes, he will tell you.
