C- in prereqs taken in 2008 - will this prevent MD admission?

Title. I'm nontraditional and applying with a killer MCAT score, a PhD, many many pubs and patents, 15K + hours clinical and volunteer experience. I have a couple C- in my gen chem series. My PhD GPA was 4.0. I took grad level chem courses and got As.
For schools where prereqs don't expire (the only ones I'm targetting) will a C- in a couple intro chem classes actually keep me from being admitted? I am taking gen chem again this year at the univeristy I am a tenure track faculty member at and intend to get As. But wondering if my application will just get thrown out because of this.
Thanks in advance.

It might. Contact admissions teams at the schools you are interested in to see if they can waive that requirement.
Will do, thank you! I know fair is fair but man this sucks. Forgot to add I also have several prestigious national awards for research and millions in funding... All of that out the window for a couple C minuses...

As a faculty member, you should know bureaucracy and administration well. :)

Thanks! Quick follow up: is this something I should do while they have my primary or after I've gotten a secondary? Or even later? I did not realize this when I submitted my primary so I did not mention I am taking these classes again this year. I know some folks say med schools don't check to make sure you have all your prereqs until after you are admitted.

Lol why do you think I want out?? (not really, I'm feeling called to medicine as they say, but ditching this stuff will be icing on the cake)

Just my opinion, but see if an email to the admissions office yields an answer. I don't think it can hurt to ask as they are screening your primary application.

I doubt that any school will hold this against you!
