That was quick, congrats! Mine has said it's under review by the comittee for two days now. Lauren told me on the phone to be patient and that my application "looked competitive enough for an interview" but I'm still stressingThis is the only school I applied to as well technician107

I submitted mine on 9/13 and it went under review....It still says under review. I should probably move on, right?
i hate only applying to one school....my nerves are shot. from what i read last year, calling lauren is like the best thing to do.
As a 2.7 cumulative GPA student entering into LECOM-B and graduating 2013 I would like to say that pretty much everyone in this thread has a very good shot at making it. I just want to point out that the interview is very important. Words on paper are one thing, but that face to face time is what leaves the impression on their mind. I got the acceptance call a week after my interview.
Relax, you'll get the interview, just make sure you practice beforehand and look at the interview questions this site gives as examples to get started.
As for the program, it's hard to compare it to any other, but it does seem I'm as well prepared or better prepared than any student from any other school on my rotations thus far. It's a tough course, but it is definitely doable, considering I was still able to work 15 hours a week average while attending. Also, the cost differences of private and public are pretty much a non-issue as schools keep jacking up their rates astronomically, so that also shouldn't be the primary concern. The area is nice, it has its bad parts, but there is plenty to do and you'll have ample opportunity for socialization.
Happy to answer any specific questions as well, just let me know.
What questions they asked you during the interview and how long the interview was. also, was the interview a group interview or individual base.
I did both, you have an individual interview with a member of faculty, open-file. They know everything you've sent in through PharmCAS. This is the point where they ask you the general 'why pharmacy?' and 'why LECOM?' questions. I was also asked about deficiencies in my portfolio, i.e. my low-GPA and was given a chance to explain why I would be a good fit for LECOM. This is also the point where if you've done any background on the school that you can let them know of any areas the school is involved in that interest you. For more specific questions, this site offers a great interview feedback page. I even left feedback there for my interview.
The group interview was a discussion on a current topic in pharmacy. I believe ours had to do with the issue of government provided healthcare. There really is no way to prepare for this besides staying current on news and being able to read an article, comprehend it, and discuss salient points to a group of peers while being graded by faculty.
DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE ESSAY QUESTION IS LIKE FOR THOSE WHO HAVENT TAKEN THE PCAT?

And to Technician107, your mailbox is full, so please delete some stuff so I can answer your question =P
Can someone give me some feedback on the application process. I just esubmitted through pharmcas. How long did it take for your apps to be verified then after that how long did it take to receive the supplemental application. Also, how do you get the supplemental app?
Great I get to pay yet another fee!! ha Thanks for the info!
yeah i know lol that's how i feel and then if you get accepted it's a $500 fee to hold your seat. my husband groaned at that...I told him shush it's worth it 😀![]()
That $500 comes out of your first semester's tuition if you choose to attend. So it's not like it evaporates into thin air at least 🙂
i've been currently under review for a month now.... do you think its because they are waiting for my PCAT scores?
LECOM is listed twice under PharmCAS, does that mean I have to apply to that specific campus if I want to go there? It's not like I get accepted and then I make my choice?
ME TOO !
Just got called today 🙂
October 18th 7:45am
I withdrew my application today & this was my day/time lol good luck on your interview 😀

wow its been long since my status have been the same......I dnt have an idea what to do next.
The thing is that my status said that the committee has not made a decision on my file..and it also says as soon as the decision is made they will let me know...My status was under review for a month as well and just got an interview today. So I don't think it's a bad thing....
For those who received an interview invitation, did you guys get to choose a date or was it assigned to you? Does anyone know what interview dates are available for November and December? I was invited for an interview in November but I will not be able to take time off from work for that week. Has anyone rescheduled their interview? Thanks and good luck everyone.
