California vs Connecticut pharmacy practice

Hello!! I'm going to be a pharmacy student in connecticut but I would love to eventually get a residency in California. Does anyone like to explain to me what the differences are of the pharmacy profession between the east and west coast? (i know in general west coast pharmacists have more provider status...i think). Also, how hard would it be for me to get a residency in Cali, considering there are so many pharmacy schools also in cali?

Extremely difficult.

You really need to reconsider your decision to go to pharmacy school. With the insane saturation there is a huge chance that you will be shut out of California indefinitely and have to settle down in flyover country if you ever want a full time position, and even that will probably in retail.
