Can your acceptance be rescinded if you defer? or ask to defer?

Just got accepted to my dream school, but I am heavily considering asking for a defferal for personal/health reasons.

Is this risky? Could my acceptance be rescinded from asking or after deffering?

Wondering if this has ever happened, or if there is any harm in asking and taking one, besides losing the year.
