Hey all, posting this for my roommate who is an international student (Canadian). Does this seem like a good/balanced list? She wants to apply to ~20 schools.

Stats:
MCAT 35S
GPA 3.8+

Extracurricular highlights:
- hospital volunteering 1.5 yrs
- shadowing (~100 hrs)
- research 2 yrs - 1 poster, 1 second author paper
- peer counsellor 2 yrs (leadership role)
- biology tutor 2 yrs
- biochem TA 2 semesters
- student government 1 yr
- intramural sports 3 yrs

That's weird, she said she has a Canadian friend who's an M2 there right now. Maybe he's a dual citizen or something.

according to msar MCW only interviewed 5 out of 250 international applicants... not sure if that one's worth it.
 
Haha, I guess she didn't put as much thought into choosing her backup schools.
