Hello, I'm applying to US dental school in June, and I'm just wondering if a Canadian citizen like me can apply to US Military Scholarship program.

My family can't afford me going to dental school, and bank loans will simply not be enough at all...

So how does it work? After graduating dental school, do I have to commute to military base to work as a dentist for a few years?

I'm not really a fan of this idea at all, but I don't have a choice.

I'm very desperate and please give me some advice please

thank you

Last I checked, officers in the US military were required to be US citizens. Enlisted are not. Unfortunately for you, dentists are officers. If you want to hear it from the horse's mouth, call any one of the three services' recruiting services. Good luck getting into school! It's a miserable process. But if you get in, I'm sure you'll find funding.

HPSP is only available for US citizens. Other options exist for non-citizens after they graduate and have their degree.
