Hi everyone!
Has anyone heard when the day for the July 2021 CBSE is going to be? The website stated late March, but it seems a little late.
Thank you 🙂
Sorry, I meant when the registration would be opened for the exam dates![]()
NBME for OMS Applicants - AAOMS

AAOMS will offer the National Board of Medical Examiners Comprehensive Basic Science Examination in February and July, granting training programs an enhanced method to evaluate candidates for positions.

The exam is open to all dental students interested in applying to oralwww.aaoms.org
You will be able to take it July 24-31, 2021.
Fantastic usernameAlright boys and girls, this message is only to start the panic chain reaction.
Good luck.
Everyone will get it the same day (usually a week after the last test date)The available test days are from July 24th to July 31st.
Does anyone know if the results will all come out at the same time or will the July 24th folks receive their scores sooner?
or is this the first time the test has been set-up like this?
Yeah, got done with them today. I would steer away from Form 25 because it was a huge confidence killer.Anyone take the new NBMEs yet?
Hey at least you got explanations 😂Yeah, got done with them today. I would steer away from Form 25 because it was a huge confidence killer.
Overall, it felt like they were worded in a weird way. And the explanations after weren't the greatest compared to UW.
True, can't complain about that aspectHey at least you got explanations 😂
End of next weekAnyone have an idea when scores will come out?
Agreed. February exam was easier for meFirst half was rough, second half was also rough
Been feeling pretty down all day because of this one nglAgreed. February exam was easier for me
yea I wouldn’t be surprised if the average went down by 2-3 points. definitely had a lot of wtf questions on my examtest makers didn't like the 60 average from the February exam haha
At the end of the day, clinic/school is getting back into the flow of normalcy. Have to expect 60 to be around the peak average for a pool of test takers.yea I wouldn’t be surprised if the average went down by 2-3 points. definitely had a lot of wtf questions on my exam
That's one way to look at it.At the end of the day, clinic/school is getting back into the flow of normalcy. Have to expect 60 to be around the peak average for a pool of test takers.
Thats how those are sometimes....that test is unreal...Honestly I dont think I would've been able to answer some of those questions even if I had the first aid book with me
How will we receive our score?
Did you take it last Monday??Literally just got my score
Yeah the 26thDid you take it last Monday??
Nahh, JL usually sends that info out in an email like 1-2 weeks after he sends out scores.I'm going to be that guy, but does anyone know the average?
It seems that you would have a good chance BUT the fact that you get in into a program and never started might be a problem , I am sure something serious happened so I would explain why I left in details as it might be the only thing that would hold you back from being considered. I agree with you that it might be too late for this cycle unless you are able to get your application ready by the end of this month.I took it years ago and got into a program but never started and I've been away from the field..Is a 72 still enough to apply? Also top 10% of class from good name..but like I said I've been away for years and havn't started the app so probably a no go this cycle?
Scored a 235 (85) my second go around, will this be high enough to get me interviews at "big name" programs like Michigan, MGH, UNC, etc. (and many more in this tier)?
Will to do a write up if anyone wants one!
Congrats. This won’t disqualify you from any program. They may not like you for other reasons, but 235 isn’t too low for any program.Scored a 235 (85) my second go around, will this be high enough to get me interviews at "big name" programs like Michigan, MGH, UNC, etc. (and many more in this tier)?

I’m at Michigan. Definitely a strong score. Average interviewee score from last cycle was in the high 70’s. Average CBSE score of last 2 entering resident classes is 83. Most programs do a holistic review and take into account all parts of your application, not just the score.Scored a 235 (85) my second go around, will this be high enough to get me interviews at "big name" programs like Michigan, MGH, UNC, etc. (and many more in this tier)?

YesIs it possible to land interviews with a score of 210+ and a class rank in the top half?
I don’t think any info was sent out about that. Has anyone reached out to John London?what were the stats?
Sent an inquiry about two weeks ago. Still nothing from anyone.I don’t think any info was sent out about that. Has anyone reached out to John London?
Hop off JL you dopes. He doesn’t live to follow the demands of students. You realize AAOMS just happened in Nashville, right? You think he might’ve been just a smidge busy with the board planning an event for thousands of oral surgeons? Chill, the results will come, and like always, they’ll be just like last time but a bit higher.Sounds like we'll just follow last exam's scale. No idea why John London won't release the standard deviation though. Probably a lost cause now.
