After lurking the boards for sometime I thought I would ask the usual what my chances are question.

I have a BBA in Accounting and after working for the last 6 or so years I knew it wasn't for me. So I started taking the core pre-med classes. Upon completing these I believe I have a 2.8 SGPA. I am now doing a masters in Biomedical Sciences and have been doing well. The first year of the program is basically taking the classes with 1st year DO students and 2nd year, next year will be completing thesis etc. I guess my first question is should I apply this year. I have taken the DATs and got a 18 TS and 16 AA. I feel I am going to have to retake. Before there is a MCAT vs DAT feud I just wont to say that I am only interested in two of the schools, Barry and Temple both of which will take the DATs. I have actually spent some time in Temple clinic and got to see some really cool and gross procedures. None the less I know I will really enjoy the profession.

If anyone can be straight with me and let me know what they think I would appreciate it.

Go ahead and apply. Worst case is you get rejected and are out ~$200+traveling to interviews (assuming you get interviews). Best case scenario...you get accepted and start podiatry school in the fall.

I'm in the same boat man. I have a BBA in accounting and realized it wasn't for me. I always found Medicine interesting and finished my premed reqs. Took the MCAT and got a 20. My GPA is Pretty good. I have been getting As and Bs in my science courses. What are my chances of getting in? I'm goign to apply I just wanted to get some Real opinions from current students or even admissions people. I keep getting Letters in the mail from various podiatry schools, so although I am optimistic, it would still help getting some more opinions on my situations. Thank you in advance
