has anyone ever felt one? if so, what did it feel like and was it indicative of any underlying pathology? when we were doing it in our lab nobody had one so it was kinda of disappointing. i hear it kinda feels like tapioca.

Yes I have... it feels like a little pea underneath the skin with fibrotic consistency. You'll also be able to elicit some reaction from your patient, if it hurts them a little you'll know you're there. It's real subtle, but you'll be able to feel it. As for the underlying pathology, it depends which point you're at.
