For anyone curious, I just got a "complete" email from Rush, and here is what they said about interview season:

"Your application to Rush Medical College is now complete! Our Recruitment Season will officially begin in late October and continue with select dates into March, 2008.

Files are regularly screened for interview between September and March. Since Rush Medical College operates on a rolling admission system, the entire applicant pool is considered during each screen. Therefore once your application becomes eligible for screening, you may have multiple opportunities to be selected for an interview. If selected, you will be notified via email and asked to select an interview date.

Last year, Rush Medical College received 3300 completed applications and interviewed 390 applicants to select our 128 matriculating students. We predict the entering class will have a mean Science GPA of 3.57 on a 4.0 scale and over 10 in each section of the MCAT, verbal reasoning, physical sciences and biological sciences. In addition, the matriculating class has significant health care employment, volunteer and community service experience."

I'm just hoping that they might start sending out interview invites in September instead of at the end of October like last year. Hrm.

you don't have to be in state but i believe even pritzker and feinberg have quotas for people from the region... of course, this is not nearly as bad as state schools, but they're both super hard to get into anyway, so i dunno.
