Ok I know this topic has been beaten to DEATH! ...One of my friends who is an orthopedic surgeon tells me that I should absolutely get my MD degree because MD's are more respected, which I guess may be true in surgery. But another friend of mine who is a surgery resident told me that she met a DO pulmonologist and he was even more intelligent and articulate than many MD's she's met....anyways just trying to see if anyone had to make this choice...??

There are both ridiculously smart MD's and DO's (just as there are docs from both sides that aren't the brightest crayons in the box), and those with either degree that don't respect the other need to be smacked. :beat:

I hear DOs eat babies and intentionally warm the globe...

DO = MD, everyone just stop and let how well you treat your patients be what you care about
