How do you cite a presentation that you delivered at a conference? In what situation would you cite an abstract?

And I've been seeing people talking about putting presentations/posters/abstracts where they were not a first author--is this an accepted thing to do?

The obsession that SDN has with first author is ridiculous. It doesnt matter what position you are in, if you are part of the publication, presentation, or poster, then put it down. Just have then under publications

Below is formal way, but you do not need to be quite as OCD.
From MLA

Speeches, Lectures, or Other Oral Presentations (including Conference Presentations)

Provide the speaker’s name. Then, give the title of the speech (if any) in quotation marks. Follow with the title of the particular conference or meeting and then the name of the organization. Name the venue and its city (if the name of the city is not listed in the venue’s name). Use the descriptor that appropriately expresses the type of presentation (e.g., Address, Lecture, Reading, Keynote Speech, Guest Lecture, Conference Presentation).

Do you only include the speaker's name? What about if you were not the speaker/"first author"?

Then you didnt present did you? I would put "Presentation of Research Team's findings by John Doe, PI at National Conference of whatever, Nov 2018"

No, I did present but there are other presentations/posters where my name was listed second, though I was not the speaker

Yes. You can even cite them if you were not the presenter, so long as you are listed as an author.
