Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just honestly think he's quite on the level where he can be the best player on a championship team. Maybe he can lead them to the playoffs and even win a series or two, but I don't think he's ever going to break into that "top 5-10 player in the league" level, which is something you need to win a title (think Kobe, Wade, LeBron, Howard, Duncan and Shaq back in their days...)

Guess we'll see 🙂

i dont know if he will be the best player on a championship team, unless portland wins a title, and i just dont see that happening. he is a good player though, portland just got unlucky with oden's injuries

Easy to do when he's stuck in purgatory in Atlanta--they're stuck being just good enough to lose in the first round for like the next 5 years with no real way to get better.

The Suns letting him go to ATL sealed not only Johnson's fate in obscurity, but began the Suns' decline.

Joe Johnson. Vince Carter and Manu are in the conversation.

I think he was better last year, he just had a terrible team.

yea. i think wade is better too.

good article on the subject: http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=13660

and you guys are forgetting the blazers won 54 games last season, they upgraded their team with andre miller, oden has been a monster in olympic tryouts (everyone has been saying him and durant are the people who made the most impact), and batum and rudy have been balling overseas in this tournament and raising eyebrows (people have even been sending messages to the GM of the blazers saying Batum is playing out of his mind).

i mean, i know i'm a fan, but they are the biggest threat to the Lakers in the west. they are title contenders for the mere fact that if the lakers get some devastating injury, they can swoop in and take the west. (we dont know how the spurs deals/chemistry will go down yet, but i put them up there too)

I think the Hornets will rebound from a disappointing year to win the division and claim the 2nd or 3rd spot in the west. The key is how the Jazz/Nuggets/whoever wins the NW division does.

And the Lakers probably have a really good chance of repeating - the only teams I think could hang with them in the west are: New Orleans, Denver, and Portland. Houston, San Antonio, maybe Utah are all on the way down.

Indeed. The Suns should have easily one, if not two titles this decade, if Sarver hadn't been so cheap.

yea. i think wade is better too.

Are you really questioning the Spurs' chemistry?

Seriously, I think the Spurs' ceiling is higher. When healthy, I'm taking Parker, Jefferson, and Duncan over whoever the Blazers have at those positions, and the difference between Roy and Ginobili is not great. They also have the championship experience to not choke under pressure, which I think the Blazers did last year once they hit the playoffs and I think they would again when tested by a team like the Lakers.

Now would I put money on the Spurs staying healthy? No, but you're going to need some luck to get by the Lakers anyways, and I think the Spurs have the best "best case scenario." Remember, they were clearly the second best team in the westand heading for 60 wins themselves before Ginobili got injured.

i like the spurs to contend the lakers as well and celts out of the east

I think the Cavs will beat out the Celts in the East Finals this year - they are probably really pissed at not even getting to the finals last year, since that was supposed to be their year. Shaq may not be dominant anymore, but he's a better post presence than they've had in the past, plus he is extremely dedicated in his first year with a new team.

Oh, well. Off to class. Sucks going to the class I just took a test in. It was reallly easy, too. Now I'm actually glad I put off Spanish until this semester.

Wow, same here. I just came from Spanish and I had a test in it yesterday. Though, I kinda wish I didn't put if off, because I want to take the Medical Spanish class, but I won't be able to complete all of the prerequisites... 🙁

I'm thinking of withdrawing from Albany and Boston so I can free up interviews dates. 👍

Johnson should have stayed in Pheonix, why did he leave. Suns would have a ring if he had stayed. Remember guys, that heydey with Nash, Johnson, Quentin Richardson, Marion, and Stoudemire a few years back? That was the most entertaining thing ever in NBA for the past decade.

Thanks Lunn! You're so nice.😀

NP = New Pathway -- they've got 2 curriculum options at Harvard, and NP is the more traditional of the two (I think? do I have that backwards and HST is the traditional one)?

I thought schools can't release acceptance decisions until 10/15.

thats what i thought too, but apparantly there are ways of getting around that? perhaps if the dont send you an official letter til the 15th it doesnt count. or maybe vermont and wake forest just like to break the rules haha

oh that sounds cool. so is HST funded?

 I didn't apply to HST.

Yeah, I feel the same. But I'll have to wait til the 15th.

Schools CAN tell you earlier, they just aren't supposed to according to whatever the rules are for acceptances. I don't think they can get in trouble for releasing them early though.

I just got back from Vermont, definitely my top choice (so far 😛). Im stoked we find out next week!

suns wouldn't pay him. Blame Sarver

So, Oct. 15th is 3 weeks from tomorrow. Crazy.

lots of you guys should get good news 🙂

harvard

WHAT

congrats 🙂

Suns wouldn't have won **** though. they did have crazy talent, they just kept selling their picks to the blazers. If they had Rudy F now, they would have been in a good spot too
