Now I'm curious...

In regards to Phys, it's clear the whole class thought it (the 289 point final exam) was miserable. But he doesn't curve, and I was a bit borderline to begin with, so I have this sinking feeling that I will be spending my cruise studying physiology. Great vacation.

I'm curious to see how many people can fail the class. He gleefully told us about the year he failed 20 students (as an aside while telling a different story, as in, "oh yeah, that was the year that 20 students failed, I remember." Yeah, okay.)

Last year in that story, it was only 12.

She asked if she should study biochem before she goes to vet school.

Ah. Yes, agree.

Last year in that story, it was only 12.

The fly story? If that's the case, good - it's okay if he's FOS, I just want to know that they wouldn't let him fail that many kids at once.

A lot of the 2nd years have said the last exam was the easiest or their best grade for that class - that was not the case this year. I'm gonna give myself an ulcer waiting for Monday.

Unless yer school allows you to progress forward in the program with an F (we can't), I have a tough time believing he failed such a large percentage of the class. Sounds like BS.

He taught the class in a different order than he did last year. Our final was over the easier material.

Answer is always progesterone or give lutalyse and wait a few days, right? That's what I learned in an sci. 😉

ONE MORE FINAL LEFT. Need this **** to end.

One more too. Parasitology. I'm learning about wound-infesting maggots... yum.

I'm not too worried about it, so the apathy is thick. But I want to make sure I keep a good grade so I need to study a little at least.

And then it's try to quell panic while I relax and wait for grades... haha.

So done with anatomy. I've been looking up how to pinch off and harden seedlings instead. Okay, studying now, I promise... 😉

Not to freak you out but parasit last year really really sucked. That might have been him punishing our class though. He thinks someone stole the lab exam key- which would be stupid because it makes no sense without the specimens. We all think he lost it.

I remember that. Well. Hopefully it's not super terrible. Guess I'll get crackin' then - have a crapton pile of study guides and two more sections to get through!

so i read "anatomy...looking up how to pinch off and harden seedlings" and thought 😱 what did i miss in lecture when i wasn't paying attention?! i thought you were talking about something anatomically related to cows or something. i...need to get some sleep tonight...😉

Haha didn't you know that was a method of sterilizing a herd?!

We're done with anatomy!!

Well done everyone!! We'll all make it eventually.

3 weeks till first year is over!

Well, I'm trying to decide if I want to try to stuff more into my brain right now, or go home to bed.......can't decide because there is no room for other thoughts.....

On another note, IdeaMachine I have the greatest respect for those of you that took neuro Great job surviving pre-finals week(the real finals when it comes to the money man) and good luck next week!

Life is so good... Taking it easy (or not so easy because we dug up and moved over 100 rocks yesterday). At least we'll have a garden soon! Getting some hostas later today 🙂

All of it was filled with those rocks...

So we moved them...

Here are some of the plants I'm growing.

plants...little green things that become big green things. Jeez.

Holy crap you're serious, SOV? Zomg.

I dunno how accurate my informant was, but I've even heard that sometimes the little green things turn into big green things...with OTHER COLORS, TOO.

lol starting from the left:

Rows 1 + 2 are sunflowers
Rows 3 + 4 are dahlias
Rows 5 + 6 are mostly candy cane zinnias, and a few painted daisies
Rows 7 + 8 are another kind of zinnia... can't recall the name at the moment
Rows 9 + 10 are candy cane zinnias

Awesome.! Thanks. I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to put in my garden at my new house. 😀

Being in Louisiana for the summer (....yesterday the high was 90) makes it difficult to plant in an outdoor garden. 🙁

Those are too complicated for me. I limit my knowledge to the introductory types. 😀

Please put that "little green things" as an answer on the tox exam next year! I bet it would make Dr. Meyer laugh at least.

My house does not get nearly enough sun through the windows so I have been transitioning them so I can plant them outdoors eventually. By the end of the week they should be ready to live outside permanently and just be watered occasionally until they're big enough to actually plant. If you have more sun through windows than I do, you might be able to pull off indoor plants better. Or try to get plants that don't need as much sunlight that you can plant inside (I just invested in a platycodon aka balloon flower today - a perennial that is good for shade).

I want my phys grade, damnit. All the others are in. I want to know if I passed, if I can enjoy my vacation, and if I have lost friends to this...

Hope you get it back soon! Why would you lose friends?! :luck:
