I'm totally putting in my love of comic books into my hobbies/interests section. I really want to put something in there not totally related to medicine as well, and its something that I actually enjoy doing during my time off.

Going over Electrophilic addition reactions and aromatic compounds today, should be fun!

Went to a cubs game today! We had VIP bleacher seats, but then it started sleeting and it was soooo cold. Being frozen to the bone and walking through the city is not a fun thing. Back to the burbs tomorrow, where we drive everywhere and have easy access to anything we need. 🙂 thank god!

Yes, everytime I finish a problem set in my Princeton Review book. I'm seriously thinking about switching my date, but the next open Cali test is like at the end of July which is too late for my tastes.

I know how you feel. I already took the MCAT but I was considering pushing it a month back the week before I took it because I just wanted to have more time to study. I guess I just convinced myself that I was never going to feel as if I was 110% prepared for it and just took it. I'm still waiting for my scores and I keep getting nightmares about it... latest P: 1 V: 12 B: 1 lol

On another note... finally finished my work/activities section. 😀

Meeee too. I did the underserved one but I have yet to enter in work/activities or the PS...I'm still waiting on the final edit of the PS from my advisor and feeling so lazy lately. Good luck getting in the writing mood! I'm right there with ya. That work/activities section seems so unpleasant! It was fun to put in all my 14 schools, though. I felt hardcore. Hey, so you all with the FAP, I have a question. When we do secondaries, how do we get the fee waived? Do we need to contact the schools beforehand and ask or is there like a checkmark on the secondary? Do we need to get supporting documentation in to them and if so, what documentation? I only have an email from the AAMC saying I qualify. Is there somewhere else with an official letter or something? Does the AMCAS automatically tell schools we qualify? Thanks...sorry for the rambling questions. I just thought of this. 🙂

I just realized I have a bunch of resumes saved on my comp that has a ton of my activities listed on it. Can't believe I was getting so worked up over that section when I realized I could just copy paste on to AMCAS

only thing to do know is figure out how to do the most meaningful thing without it being reiterated in my personal statement.

I'm doing combo bullet points and narrative explanations for all my activities. I'm a little worried I was too "repeat-y" with my most meaningful Peace Corps activity and my PS, but oh well.

Me, too. Low MCAT, mediocre GPA, fee waiver. Unfortunately I can't afford to apply to more than the allotted 14 schools. I reeeally hope that doesn't screw me, though.

I caught two slip ups between my AMCAS/AACOMAS applications, which isn't too bad considering my course list ended up being 7 pages between my extended undergrad (looooong story), grad, and post-bacc.

Yea, I got the FAP approval in late 2010 when I signed up for the MCAT, and cannot get the proper documents in on time for this year. I e-mailed schools and will be getting the secondary fees waived though so I'm happy.

Submitting August 1st won't kill you....it will be the added time for verification and then secondaries that will. You most likely wouldn't be complete until mid September.
