I am good sir. I play mainly recreational, though I was thinking about joining/starting my schools tennis club if they have one. I just like doing it as a hobby and as exercise
If you're so good why don't you play college tennis? 😉I am good sir. I play mainly recreational, though I was thinking about joining/starting my schools tennis club if they have one. I just like doing it as a hobby and as exercise
But on the flip side, if you win a high pressure match you feel like a hero. It makes up for all those disappointing losses imo.Haha I'm good, but I'm not that good. I can play a good match, but I just feel as though it takes the fun out of it when you are pressured to win.
Where as when I play recreationally, sure I want to win, but if I don't, I don't have to worry about getting cut or letting the team down

My day:
I am SUPPOSED to be the EMT who takes care of the campers....
Instead......
I broke my toe
The cool part is that it is a pretty combination of purples and reds 😎
Nicee, a friend of mine had that one. Then he got a Loaded Tan Tien or something. Are there a lot of hills and nice roads in New Mexico?
Also, whats everybody doing today?

Sounds like the door won.Awww Thanks Wolfman 🙂
Funny you ask Bigmac. I got into this EPIC battle with a door.
Ok so I stubbed my toe bad enough to break it.
Sounds like the door won.
It SO did NOT!
....ok
maybe I came off a bit worse 😳
Access Denied
🙁 Can someone rescue me from the door?
It looks like you are a damsal in distress.
Splint toe all the way squish.
You may be a hot young vixen now, but when you get older, if you don't fix that toe now properly, its going to come back and bite you in the ass
A little bit 😉
Debating the merits of splinting my toe. We should vote on it!
Splint toe: uncomfortable, but may help prevent more injuries
Not Splint: More comfortable.
Ok I'll splint my toe 🙂
A toe splint is nothing to exciting, you just tape it to the next toe over 😛
If I had any idea how to post pictures I would take one for you guys. At least it is hurting a lot less 🙂
Ok I will do that first thing in the morning. I don't want to wake up my roommate. Having fun at camp, but having trouble getting the kids to drink their water. 🙁
Soda has caffine which will suck more water out of them. They get juice at dinner, but really don't drink much of that either. Most of my calls have been dehydration.
Doah, I forgot about the caffeine.
Try this then: Lime juice (the kind in the lime shaped bottle) plus stevia (available at any Whole Foods type store). It makes the water taste better, but is still healthy. Stevia is very low in calories.
If nothing else give them tea. It hydrates you and kills waterborne diseases and is a natural antiseptic.
Very good points, but I don't have the resources. I am thinking about bribing them with candy if the meet their water quota 🙂
Am I a horrible health care professional if I give them candy in exchange for water? I am at about 2 kids out of 32 getting dehydrated on a given day. I even make sure when they leave each meal with a full water bottle...but they often return to the next meal without touching it 🙁 I also have one girl who dehydrates themself on purpose to get out of activities, but that is another story!
Can you talk to the kids' activity leaders or camp counselors (or whatever they are called) and ensure that they make sure that the kids under their charge drink plenty of water?
You mean the absentee Leaders who run off to the mall when no one is looking? LOL
I keep nagging them. I am certainly starting to annoy the majority of them. Others are proud and get into contests to see who drinks the most water. One girl had 6, 22 ounce water bottles (I had about 4).
The Director of the camp is on vacation 🙁
I tend to keep an eye out for them, I sit with them at meals and walk with them to most of their classes and activities. I would feel horrible if something happened to them even though I am a volunteer medical staffer, while they pay RAs for this.
Besides, they get a kick out of some of my stories, and tend to listen to me better then their actual leaders. I feel like the cool kid 😎
Myself and my partner. There are SUPPOSED to be four RA's to keep an eye on everybody, but day one they went to the mall, day two they went swimming, and today I am not sure where they went.
No idea.
I did get back at the RAs a little bit. I let a couple of the campers go through my medical bag, and we ended up dressing one of the campers up to look like she fell down the stairs. It was funny to watch then $h*t bricks![]()
