I have not a clue, but I'll probably apply to about 15 schools. I know some of them, but I really need to add some more safety schools to my list.

Yeah, that's kind of how I feel about the safety schools. But I live in Arizona, so there is only one med school in my state. It's so expensive to go to an OOS school.

My fam was planning a trip to the dominican and PR (unannounced to me) at the same time my gf and I were talkign about going to PR...so hopefully i can spend time with the fam in the dominican and then she can join us in PR, and we can stay a few days extra by ourselves.

Apparently the Class of 2013 thread was created in 2003! So let's see, that would make them sophomores in high school when the thread was created..... .

So, we're a little behind them, but still nice and early!

Sure, right now, we just have to sit back and watch all this commotion about applications, and the MCAT, etc etc. But soon enough, our time will roll around. I'm sure most of us are sophomores right now and we're tackling organic chemistry, some of us physics, biology, and the like. The last thing we need is a sophomore slump, and need to keep up the pace till things really heat up junior year!

Someone tried starting a 2013 thread back in 2003. It got like 5 posts. The real 2013 thread was started a little less than a year ago last January. Someone found the old one from way back and merged them. But whatever, no worries. Keep up the good work I guess.

Thats actually pretty awesome! I'd say the last week, and definitely the last few days, you should be studying anymore. Just try relaxing and get your mind off the test. I think if you love opera (which i assume you do if you are performing) then its a great thing to do.

I'm going to apply to like 23 schools. All my instate allopathic schools and then about 17 OOS allopathic. I really like one of the schools here in IL but I want to go to some place warm if its possible. I absolutely hate the winter in the midwest.

And Lukkie, a bit of unsolicited advice that you probably don't want, but I'll ask you to consider it anyway: I'd apply to maybe one or two more 'safety' schools. You never know if your GPA is gonna bite you in the butt until afterwards. This is just honest advice from a c/o 2013er it's NOT a putdown.

Consider PMing redrumi, maybe. It's a tough fight with a 3.3 http://www.mdapplicants.com/viewprofile.php?id=10385 even if you have a good MCAT.

I would love Texas but unfortunately the same problem there, OOS is very minimal. Someone recommend me a good school where there are beaches open all yr long cept for california.
