Because if you are, you should be more focused on whether you'd like that environment, the quality of resources available and whether you prefer a liberal arts school compared to a traditional university. It is elite, but does it really matter how elite it is?

Near NYC??? What the hell are you talking about? Colgate is really in the middle of nowhere but its like 45mins from syracuse and utica. Not much of anything close by but its a very good school. I didn't get in when applying in high school but I'm thinking about sending in a transfer app.

Colgate is in Hamilton. It's 30 minutes from UTICA, perhaps.

Colgate was one of the colleges I was considering when I was applying to college, but after visiting it I decided to go elsewhere. It really is in the middle of nowhere, which was not for me. But to each his own.

Are you really that stupid, or are you pretending? Colgate is at minimum, 4 hours from NYC if you disobey all traffic laws and hit no traffic.
