Confused about PharmCAS "Academic Update", Adding classes

I have all the required classes needed to apply to School X for 2012 admittance, but if i dont get accepted i want to apply to school Y for 2013 admittance
I need two additional courses in order to meet the pre-reqs for school Y

I want to e-submit my pharmcas app now and see if school X accepts me.
If i do not get accepted, i want to take the required courses for school Y and aim for acceptance next year
I would take the required courses in either the summer 2012 or Fall 2012

Will Pharmcas let me update my coursework to include the additional classes i took?

Will Pharmcas let me update my coursework to include the additional classes i took?

They allow you to update your courses if you put "planned/in progress" in your supplemental materials for X school. However, if you get accepted (conditionally) in this year, X school allows you to have the chance to finish the remaining prereq. up until spring, and you just need to sent your official transcript of each institution (that you have been to) to that X school without having to update PharmCAS. You only need to update your PharmCAS if you haven't been accepted to any school or want to wait for the results of other schools (being that you have been accepted to at least one school). I was told that PharmCAS will wipe your data clean by the next year cycle so you have to redo everything again. If you have anymore questions, just call PharmCAS or your X school directly and ask.

May be I get you wrong but this is the application for 2012 admittance. So for school Y (which you said you want to apply for Fall 2013), that will be in next year PharmCAS application. I don't think you have to worry about application for school Y in this year. You will need to focus on school X only at this time.
Another thing that I want to remind you. Based on my communication with PharmCAS, if you have never sent transcript to PharmCAS before ( I assumed you haven't because you said you still don't e-submit the application yet), you will have to send it now because the deadline for this type of transcript is January 5th. Hope all these information answers your questions.

Solar de riokos, you are correct, school Y is for 2013 admittance.
I didnt know we need to re-do the pharmcas app all over again for next years submission.
Thanks for the heads up on the Jan 5th deadline. I am going to apply today for school X.
