DAT costs $415. Adding schools to send DAT scores is free if you make your selection when registering to take the test. If you choose to send your scores to other schools other than the ones selected when registering, you will have to pay about $30 per school. As for how much it costs to apply, the AADSAS fee is $244 to add one dental school and $90 for every school you add after. So if you apply to 3 schools it would be $240+90+90=$420. Some schools will require a processing fee as well which must be sent to the school directly and can be anywhere from $50-85 typically.

When I took it in 2014, DAT cost $385
It costs $245 to apply to 1 school on AADSAS, plus $93 for each additional school
If you're a TX resident, TMDSAS app costs $140
Also, secondary application costs will depend on what schools/how many schools you apply to. These vary from 0-$100 per school. Check here: http://www.adea.org/dental_educatio.../Pages/ADEAAADSASSupplementalInformation.aspx
There's also offical transcript fees, if your uni charges you to send them out

From personal experience, you can get the DAT partially waived if you can prove you are of financial need. You can also get the AADSAS fee waived for up to 3 schools. Some schools will waive their secondary fees if you were able to get the AADSAS fee waived.

I get financial aid so could hopefully it is possible to waive it. Any link to where I can find info about waiver, also any additional information would be splendid.
Thanks

Don't pay the $30whatever per report for your DAT...AADSAS gets the scores automatically and sends them out for you with their app fees.

From personal experience, I applied to 20 schools total and I spent around $2300 for primary applications. Secondary applications were around $1400 I believe. Flights/Hotels/Cabs were close to $3,000. Grand total around $6700! It's definitely an expensive process, but the more schools you apply to the higher chance you will get in.

Damn man, hopefully you got in some where. I was sitting here thinking about only applying to two schools lol. Maybe I should wait till next year, but this was my plan. My plan was to apply to only two schools in state this cycle upcoming, so it wouldnt cost much, if I didnt get in then I would apply to maybe more than 10 schools next cycle. The reason I wanna do this is because I am still a junior and I figured what the heck might get lucky. My average is above the average matriculant for the two in state schools, I wanna do this because I dont want to wait another year. I know it sounds crazy but it shouldnt be that much cost for only two maybe 3 schools. If I dont get in then I''ll just stick with my day one plan of applying senior year.

Make sure the classes aren't full if you do. Kentucky & Louisville probably are if you from KY

Do the schools contact you to send supplemental application? or do I automatically send supplemental applications to the schools Im applying to?

Depends on the school. Check each school's website. I made the mistake of thinking that every school with contact me and two of them did not, so my supplemental was kinda late.
