Well, I do have 3 tests during the 2 weeks leading up to the 15th, so I will be busy. But guess what I'll be thinking about when I'm not studying.

Is there a reliable list of schools that release news on 10/15-16? Seems like I remember seeing one last cycle...

dw, Downstate said snail mail, so I suppose we might get ours in 16th, 17th, or 18th.

They mail them on the 16th, which is a Friday...probably won't get it until the next Tuesday at the earliest...

It's when schools are allowed to release acceptance decisions, according to AMCAS rules.

I can't believe the 15th is only two weeks away. I'm trying not to be too expectant. Apparently (at least with Maryland) some early interviewers didn't hear for a while after the 15th.

Does anyone else's opinions about an interview change over time? Right after my interviews, I was pretty pleased with how I answered the interviewers. In the days afterward, however, I became much more critical. Now I keep reliving the questions, coming up with things I should or shouldn't have said or done. Why didn't I make more eye contact? Why did I start rambling about <insert topic here>? It's kind of silly. Wondered if anyone else does this.

Same here. I'm also trying not to get too excited because I only have one school that will let me know by then and I'm not sure how I did in the interview. We'll see.
 
I don't even have any interviews yet and people are worrying about getting accepted...

Yeah, I'm not going to get my hopes up about hearing something on the 15th (or honestly not even a week after the 15th). Luckily I have work and another interview in the time leading up to the 15th, so hopefully it will keep my mind occupied.

I was the exact same after my interviews as well! I got out thinking, "Well that went decent/good." But a few days after, I'm thinking "Man, I think I said umm too much" or "I don't think I was clear enough and I should have mentioned this". Oh well, we can't change anything now, so we'll just keep our fingers crossed!

Meaning they tell you before you leave? Or they tell you after a few weeks? (Assuming you interview after the 15th?)

I think some schools may tell you sooner if you're rejected. A few people who interviewed at VCU posted that they received rejections after their interviews. Others got a "decision has been made on your application" status update.

For some schools, October 15th is the earliest acceptance notification date according to the information submitted by each Medical School to the MSAR and AAMC. For most of us, it will be quite a while before notification is made so don't work yourself up about October 15th. You could drive yourself crazy for no reason! Chill.... have a drink or two. Have fun (while "free" time is available)!
