Hey all, I received AP credit for biology from my institution that covered Biology 1 w/lab and biology 2 w/lab. I'm aware that most schools take AP credits but would also like to see upper-level biology courses.

I took cell biology last semester and received an A. I am currently taking a physiology class and plan to receive a B (Still time for an A).

My school's medical school only requires 1 upper-level biology class as a prerequisite, which I satisfied, even if you used AP credits for biology.

So my question is, should I continue to take other upper biology courses or would I be fine with just cell biology and physiology and the AP credit for Bio 1 and Bio 2.

Additionally, I should point out I have no other biology lab coursework, besides the labs that were awarded with the use of my AP credit.

At some schools you need
1) Bio 1/2 or if AP, 2 advanced courses
2) 2 advanced courses
3) Biochem counts as a chem course at some schools

So if you want to be able to apply to the broadest array of medical schools, you need 2 more advanced bio courses as well as biochem

These are 2 more advance biology courses on top of the 2 I have already taken, correct? So a total of 4 advanced courses.
