Along the lines of what AmoryBlaine wrote....
My genetics professor once said how people entering say "I'm going to be a cardiothoracic surgeon" or "I'm heading towards forensic anthropology." Then they become sophomores and they are just happy to still be pre-med. Two years after that and the same shoot for the stars freshman now just wants to graduate
