Ok, so far I"m hear West Valley, Central West End, Valley Hill. How far exactly are these places from campus and how quiet/safe are they?

West Valley is really far. That's in suburban Salt Lake City, Utah.

But seriously, good neighborhoods/cities are the Central West End, the Hill, Dogtown, Soulard, South City, Richmond Heights, Webster Groves, etc. Good luck.

Agreed, these are all good choices that are relatively close to SLU
