Is there a difference in how difficult the material is at different schools?

For example: is the material at Boston Univ. harder than the material at Creighton, just out of curiosity?

I suppose it only applies to the 1st 2 years.

yup. Some schools believe that you should know everything no matter how relevant it is to the current practice of medicine. These schools tended not to have changed their curriculum in years. Then there are schools which just teach the material that they believe would be relevant to the boards and practicing as a physician. Like UCSF who has cut out the dissecting part of med school and offer it as an elective. (They also finish second year early, I think like a month ago, so the GA time is added to third and fourth year, effectively making it a total elective.)
