Amazingness. Having that extra hour today kicked ass. I went to sleep at 1:00am last night and woke up at 930 instead of feeling like a lazy **** waking up at 1030. I had time to tackle this list of assignments I had to complete, lift weights early in the afternoon, run five miles this evening, and I'm studying now and can't believe that its only 9:30.

Anyone else loving it?

I vote we switch the world to 25 hour days.

My clock doesn't auto change time on my phone. And I forgot all about it.

I woke up, got to school and didn't make the connection until I talkd to someone in school lol.

So i either got to sleep in an extra hour or study an extra hour. Either way im not sure which.

Yea I agree, maybe now I will be on time for my 7am class. LOL

It was awesome, I could sleep until what felt like 9am, yet still get up at 8am in order to get a bright and early start on my studying. :barf:

Yes, taking exams are part of life, but I totally cannot focus right now. I spend more time reading about the election than I actually do studying. If it went on much longer, my grades would suffer big time.

there was an article in a recent NEJM about how heart attacks increase in the 7 days following daylight savings...

Man do I want that crap to be overwith. There isn't even any point in voting. I live in New York. New York is not a swing state. New York is going to go democratic no matter what and the electoral college votes will go to obama.

What happens as a result of this fantastic system that we have in place? Candidates don't even bother showing up to states like New York because whats the point? Instead we have states like Ohio and Florida deciding the future of the country for us.

Get rid of this stupid electoral college system and let the popular vote decide the election, so we don't have cow farmers in ohio deciding for the rest of the country

Yeah, the electoral college is definitely from a different time, before TV and the internet and people having the opportunity to inform themselves about the candidates.

I'm actually kinda excited because my state for the first time in what feels like ever will possibly vote the way I want it to vote. So that is fun to experience. But otherwise....I still have vivid nightmares about the hanging chads. Yikes.

Gotta love the US....just because you get more votes, doesn't mean you win!

OOOHHH MY FLIPPPING WORD I AM SOOOOOOOOOOO with you on this. Everyone thinks I'm crazy for not voting. But I'm like what is the freaking point when the who flipping state is going to roll one way or the other WITHOUT the vote from the population. I was just saying earlier I am SOO ready for this to end.

There are OTHER things on the ballot besides the presidential candidates. Look for a brochure that details all the different measures and propositions currently being decided upon (in your state and local county) to ensure an informed vote on your part...pending you're not a convicted felon.

That's very true and I have been going back and forth on that same point that there are other things I could be vote for besides the president. I think this election has left a bad taste in my mouth about various things that are going on in this country. Its not official yet, but I am leaning towards not voting.

For the first time yesterday, I saw a group of people advertising "Yes on Prop 8." I couldnt decide if it was because there are just way more people who are going to vote no, or its b/c most dont want to admit that they are going to vote yes........ i guess time will tell.

Edit: I just realized that those not in CA might not know what prop 8 is........prop 8 is trying to ban same sex marriage in CA.

hahaha! the prop 8 debate has been so entertaining! ive seen so many people from both sides stealing signs. A guy brought a flyer for yes on prop 8 (which would ban gay marriage) when nobody that lives at my house was wearing a shirt (because it refuses to cool down in socal) and he was SO akward . I saw one guy get punched in the face for pulling up a 'yes on prop 8' sign. Im interested to see how this one turns out.

how come Hawaii and Arizona don't do daylight savings?

I am really confused about this! I am traveling to AZCOM for an interview later this week from Michigan....so is the time difference now 2 hours instead of 3 since they didnt fall back?? wow, that sounds like a really dumb question 😳
