well:
step 1: you fix the misdiagnosis part by diagnosing it, this can sometimes be tricky but careful physical exam and imaging are the key to success.
step 2: you treat the fracture.
step 3: laugh at whomever missed the diagnosis. If you can point out how obvious it really was and how easy it was for you to diagnose, well...all the better. If there's a hot nursing student there to see how much smarter/superior you are to this other person then its your lucky day.
