has anyone who completed the supplemental gotten confirmation that it's been received?

I completed mine last week and I got an email for confirmation of payment.
Nothing to say they have started reviewing it yet.

Does anyone know when they might send out their next round of invites? Patiently waiting here...hoping to hear something soon (as a reapplicant).
I am also a reapplicant. I submitted in mid July. Not sure when they will send out another round of invites. Hoping to hear something soon!

I didn't apply to DCG last cycle and I still have not received any interview invite so I'm not optimistic about my "chance" at this point
last year I applied in September and didn't interview until November, you've got months till the point you should lose optimism. They interview all the way up till acceptance day.

Not related to the interview, but does anyone know the cutout limit for DAT for DCG? For example, if I took DAT Aug 2019, is it still valid for this cycle? Thanks in advance! And good luck to everyone who applied and interviewed!

Still valid

Anyone here interviewed last month and got a letter from Dr. Messer? I just got a letter from her last week.

Basically she said thank you for coming to the interview. She also asked about a few things I mentioned on the interview day.
Did you ever email to reply to her letter? on mine she asked a couple questions that could have been rhetorical but debating reaching out to her. She just didn't attach her personal email so wasn't sure.

I did email her back and told her how I felt about our interview day. I made it almost like the thank you letter for my interviewers. I do have her email if you need it.

I'm no expert, but this is my thought about the interview. Your interviewers will be your biggest advocate. Show them your best side. Sell yourself, but don't be arrogant. Give yourself plenty of time to get to the interview. They told us there was a student got cut off by the train and ended up coming in late. One of my two interviewers neither read nor know anything about my application. Be prepared if you happen to be in that situation. You'll meet with current dental students. Have some questions for them. They don't want someone who doesn't speak up. They also don't want someone who doesn't let anyone else talk. So try to be somewhere in the middle. Overall, it was a really fun and informative day. We got this. Good luck. 👍

My gpa is similar, with some variation to the DAT scores. Did you ever connect with any faculty?

I didn't connect with faculty, other than at my interview. But I did talk with Ms. Perry before applying to see if I would be considered/competitive. They really look at the whole application/applicant.

Should I assume rejection if I haven't heard from the dental school at this point in the cycle?

To those who recently interviewed at DCG, is the decision day still on Dec 1st? I'm freaking out y'all. @_@
All schools are limited to sending out acceptance offers only after Dec. 1. That means the first is the earliest you *could* know, but you might still wait an unspecified amount of time more.
4 more weeks 💦💦💦💦👅 👅 👅 😈. 😈
😈😈😈

To anyone who has applied previously, how do you know if you don't get accepted or if you're on the waitlist? Is it communicated via email? And when in relation to Dec. 1/acceptance day?

I am a reapplicant this year.

Dr. Messer told us this year that she and Ms. Perry will be calling starting sometime tomorrow morning around 8 or 9 AM. As far as I know, they are the only two people calling all the accepted students, so everyone will be notified at different times throughout the day.

Last year, the acceptance day was December 15th due to Covid-19. I received an email on December 16th notifying me that I was put on the alternate list (waitlist). Unfortunately, Dr. Messer told me that there was little movement in the waitlist last year compared to previous years, so I was not accepted 🙁

Best of luck to you tomorrow! Don't sleep in and miss your call 😉

Good luck to everyone today! This school almost always has issues with notifying on the same day, so if you don’t hear today it’s is very possible they are just having technical difficulties. Many times before they have notified in the days after decision day due to problems with the phone system at the school. I’d say consider all your options when choosing schools, not just which school is cheapest. Due to COVID, the school has had a terrible time keeping and finding new faculty. I know the student to faculty ratio the school advertises is probably 8 or 9 to 1, but it’s been much higher than that this year. In some cases they are even having to find residents at the school to help in the D1’s operative and waxing courses because there are so few faculty. There is actually a decent amount to do around town, despite what some people might tell you. There are many bars, taprooms, and other things like topgolf and a Dave and busters that is currently being built. I do like how involved students can be in the day to day decisions and changes in test scheduling or the curriculum, but the school is very, VERY unorganized in some capacities. DCG will get you through dental school with more clinical experience than most, which is (in my opinion) the greatest asset they have. Overall the school has many more positives than negatives, and is a solid choice considering the clinical experience and the finances of attending DCG vs. other schools.

P.S. Augusta stinks, literally. There are some days I put my mask on as soon as I step outside. Not because of COVID, but because of the awful smell.

Got my acceptance call 20 minutes ago.

Edit:
They said that they're accepting a lot of us this morning. For those of you who do not receive a first round acceptances or if you have interviewed and heard nothing back, they said that they'll meet later today to discuss those who weren't accepted yet.
