Dental College of Georgia (DCG) Class of 2026 Interview/Acceptance Thread

Dr. Perry called me around 1020am. She said there are about 30 more seats. It's not over yet guys.

Keep in mind that these are just the first round of acceptances! Dr. Messer told me this morning that they have accepted approximately half the class and the other half will be for post-december interviews and acceptances. Keep your hope up!

If you are not accepted today, you may find an email sometime in the next couple days regarding your status on the waitlist or the alternate list. If DCG is your top choice, make sure to send them a letter of intent!

I had my interview on November 1st so I’m just feeling very disappointed and empty.

Do you know if there is a time in the day where Dr. Messer or Mrs. Perry stop calling people for acceptances? Like are they done by 2pm or 5pm or something like that?

And should I send my letter of intent only if I get waitlisted?

from what i've heard in the past they go all day and will keep going the next day if they don't get to some, then waitlists don't go out for another few days. But they're also behind on everything so you can still get an acceptance call anytime don't give up hope yet at all

As of 2:15 EST they are not done calling for today. I just called admissions and asked.
 
Got my call from Dr. Messer this morning and did everything I could to refrain from sprinting around my house. Looking forward to meeting the DCG class of 2026. We made it! She said they will be giving calls until Friday so don't fret if you haven't heard anything yet! Best of luck everyone.

EDIT: I said "giving calls" but what she told me was the emails with information on scholarships and things will be sent out by Friday which I assume means that acceptances and offers will be going out until then.

Till Friday? no sour grapes here but wouldn't it be easier for everyone if there was just a portal or an automatic email? I guess nothing is perfect
 
As of 5:00 today on Dec 1st, anyone know if they are done calling for the day? That way I can mentally recharge incase I get a call from them tomorrow 🤞

She said that the email will go out by Friday. The reason being they interviewed people recently. I am not sure how many calls they are going to make or when they're going to make calls I may have misheard what she said. I didn't ask about the calls for acceptances, but she said emails will go out on Friday with scholarships and all that so I think if you don't hear anything by Friday then you are on the waitlist.

Post-December interviews? I thought DCG does not conduct interviews post-December. Are you sure you heard that correctly? I am asking because this is the top school that I want to attend but I have started receiving offers from other schools and was en route to submitting my deposit.

dog doesn't do interviews post December unfortunately but waitlist emails will likely go out within a few days and i'm sure the rest of the calls before that
 
Has anyone made/seen a dcg class of 26 groupme or facebook group yet?

if it really is at the top of your school why would you submit a deposit already?????? you do realize you have 30 DAYS right???? well now you know

Has anyone recently called DCG to see how many seats are left for acceptance? Since tomorrow is Friday, I’m not sure if they will still do acceptance calls or if they will start to send out waitlist emails or rejection emails to people
 
They might call a few more people here and there in next couple days. But I think the rest of acceptance calls will be on Jan 1st, when the deposit is due for people who were accepted back on Dec 1st. They will finalize the class size. There will be a lot of movement, so don't lose hope yet.
 
Does anyone know when acceptances go out for the students who interviewed at the end of November? DCG never gave a specific date but said they wouldn't notify us on the 1st of December like the rest of the students who were interviewed earlier.

Sounds like the rest will be next Wednesday or possibly later as they had so many late interviewers

someone mentioned that they called on wednesday and were given some info but idk about email, they've got to be pretty busy rn
 
I got waitlisted too!

Thank you God I’m sure my late father would be proud, now just continuing to pray that everything works out and I’ll do my best and hopefully a spot opens up.
