Well, for you New Yorkers, it does matter. But for us DMU'ers that are already super-geniuses, it doesn't matter much
But seriously, any program that is THAT stuck on grades probably isn't worth much. I'm not advocating poor grades because, for the most part, that does say something about an individual. A good student will work hard and should do fairly well. Assuming you have fairly good grades, it doesn't really matter much. Strong programs are more worried about three things:
1) Are you someone that they can get along with for 3 years (personality)
2) work ethic
3) Are you teachable
Having said that, grades don't mean a whole lot to many programs because some schools give A's out like candy! I recently spoke to a good friend of mine in residency. He said that last year, a student applied from a certain school. He was #17 in his class and had a 4.0
