DMU vs Marian

[2021Hope]

Hello all. I know that this has been asked a few times in the past but those are fairly old. I have received an acceptance at both DMU and Marian and I am having to make this decision fairly quickly. Both schools are about the same price so that isn't a factor.

DMU
Pros:
- Very well established program. Second oldest DO program in existence and founded by the nephew of A.T Still
- Stellar match lists, in my opinion at least
- Interest in mental health, a strong interest of mine
-already have the deposit paid and found a roommate
- felt very inviting when I toured
-Paid summer research opportunity which could help with matching later
Cons:
-Farther from family
-Not familiar with Des Moines and more used to larger cities
-No connections in Iowa at all
-Rotations are hit or miss and spread throughout the midwest from what I hear

Marian
Pros:
-about 30 min from family
-I am familiar with Indianapolis and love it
- rotations mostly in Indianapolis so that is more convenient.
Cons:
- newer program
- match list is buried/ hard to find and not as strong
- As an athiest, I am not sure how I would fit in at a catholic campus
