Hi,
My MCAT is 501 (first take was a 496), my overall GPA is 3.67 and science GPA is around 3.5. I have been working in clinical research for 5 years and I am a certified phlebotomist, worked inpatient for 7 months. I also have research experience at my university (2 years). I am the president and founder of a community service organization as well. I have shadowed a MD and have a strong LOR from an MD. I am currently looking into shadowing a DO within the next few weeks. I have >200 hrs of volunteering in an emergency center where I am the shift leader. I am 29 years old and live in MI.
What are my chances at DO school and what schools should I apply to?
Same goes for MD.
Thank you.

Apply broadly to DO schools. I'd leave out AZCOM, CCOM, Touro-CA and NY since they favor high MCAT scores. Otherwise, I think you are decent enough to apply to any other DO program.
I'd advise against applying to any MDs. Waste of time and money. If you want, mayyybeee some low ranked state schools. Sorry, the MCAT is just too low for MD consideration unless URM or multiple unique eye-catching EC's. Tbh, you might even get filtered out before they see that.

I recommend:
Any DO school except AZCOM, CCOM, the Touros, and KCU. I can't recommend LUCOM. Target newest schools particularly.

For MD:
WMU
CMU
Oakland-B
MSU
Wayne State
