For me, I'd pickI've been fortunate enough to be selective with my DO school list.
So I ask you sdners, what schools have the best locations?
TOURO.NY
NYITCOM
VCOM
OH.COM
CCOM
KCU
BCOM
Western.OR
RVU
RVU.UT
KCU, DMU, RVU are some of my favorites but non ideal locations.
UNE has cons such as mandatory attendance and dress code
Nova some people seem to hate on for reasons
Oh gosh mandatory lectures & dress codes are a big nono

RVU Utah, and/or any of the ones in larger cities.
AZCOM. Phoenix is huge and has good hiking
Second this. I found Pheonix to be really cool. Didn't have time to do the nature stuff on my interview day but all the students stressed how cool it was.
PCOM is in a pretty nice part of Philadelphia.. not technically what people consider "downtown" but is downtown accessible and has easy access to fairmount park, the schuylkill river, etc. for outdoors activities.
Really, I think the question comes down to rural vs urban for DO schools. If you go to a DO program in a big city, you can live pretty much anywhere in that metro area so you'd have a ton of options.
For me, I'd pick
TOURO.NY
NYITCOM
VCOM
OH.COM
CCOM
KCU
BCOM
Western.OR
RVU
RVU.UT
Someone hack your account?
I think Goro was just recommending the location without regard to the quality of the school.Someone hack your account?
I do have to say thank you for your support Goro. I’m glad you finally came around after seeing our match results, etc.For me, I'd pick

I highly recommend that you look into Touro Middletown, OP. It is close to the city and near lots of outdoor options in upstate NY.

Yeah he is in no way recommending it lol
But Rowan is super close to Philly so that isn’t a bad spot if you want to live in suburbs and have the ability to easily get to the city.
Sites, not schools!!!Someone hack your account?
You said it! You can’t recommend one without the other. It doesn’t make sense.Sites, not schools!!!

Lol probably the best location but I may be biased.
Blacksburg in the heart of the AppalachiansVCOM? Which one?
You’re being sarcastic, right? You said it! You can’t recommend one without the other. It doesn’t make sense.

Explain to me what part of my comment has indicated sarcasm..You’re being sarcastic, right?
The “You can’t recommend one without the other”. For example, I’d recommend the Caribbean as a nice location (sunny, relaxing walking trails, beach activities, etc.), but wouldn’t recommend going there for medical school.Explain to me what part of my comment has indicated sarcasm..
Blacksburg in the heart of the Appalachians
That's fair. If you're an outdoorsy person, BBurg is amazing. 🙂
Lol probably the best location but I may be biased.
100% the best location
The “You can’t recommend one without the other”. For example, I’d recommend the Caribbean as a nice location (sunny, relaxing walking trails, beach activities, etc.), but wouldn’t recommend going there for medical school.
I wouldn’t recommend going to a place I didn’t like even if the location was nice. That is what doesn’t make sense. Your sarcastic comment was unnecessary.
It is kinda like sending someone to a hypothetically beautiful place but with a 100% crime rate. They logic is just not there for me but if it is for you @SergeantBuzzKill go at it!I wouldn’t recommend going to a place I didn’t like even if the location was nice. That is what doesn’t make sense. Settle down bud, you’re taking this way too personallyIt is kinda like sending someone to a hypothetically beautiful place but with a 100% crime rate. They logic is just not there for me but if it is for you @SergeantBuzzKill go at it!

So full of win.The “You can’t recommend one without the other”. For example, I’d recommend the Caribbean as a nice location (sunny, relaxing walking trails, beach activities, etc.), but wouldn’t recommend going there for medical school.
Because you cannot differentiate the difference between a nice area and a quality school is nobody elses fault. It is kinda like sending someone to a hypothetically beautiful place but with a 100% crime rate. They logic is just not there for me but if it is for you @SergeantBuzzKill go at it!
Nope I just wouldn't be crummy enough to recommend a school that I had issues with, regardless of where it is. And, where the heck did you come from lol? Nobody asked for your opinion. Also..maybe your time would be better spent actually getting into med school lol!Because you cannot differentiate the difference between a nice area and a quality school is nobody elses fault.
Let's keep things mature and stay on topic. Attempts at low blows will only make others look ridiculous.
I think the best way to swing back to the topic would be for OP to mention some interests and maybe some people can inform him about their schools.
Obviously I cannot comment on the areas I have lived in because I'm not a current med student... See what I did there. 😛
