which is why endodontists want to be called endodentoneurovascular surgeons.
do i have a big butt?Does a tooth have blood vessels?
....hold on...that doesn't make any sense.
The other day in clinic I was excavating deep caries on a maxillary molar. I thought it was going to be just another day at school, but as I was refining the walls of my prep I accidentally severed the oblique artery in #14. It was running right through the cusp of carabelli which isn't where you normally expect it to be.
I didn't think that sucker was ever going to stop hemorrhaging. It just kept gushing and gushing. I finally got in there and tied it off with some vicryl, but it was hit or miss for a while.

this has to be the worst site ever to get a straight answer or help from.
Yes they do.

Sadly, the OP is probably more confused now then before he asked.
Plain English Answer: Teeth have a very fine blood and nerve supply that usually enters through the end of the root. The blood and nerve supply occupy a space known as the root canal. Vessels and nerves do not course throughout the tooth though like they do in other body tissues, but are located only in the central part of the tooth.
