DO's need more pride

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
They also don't want to be ostepaths... they want to be doctors and practice medicine, not be martyrs for A.T Still.

We had a recruiter from WCU-COM, which oddly enough was a MD from Emory say, and I quote...."People won't even know you don't have an MD!" with a huge smile on his face.

I literally said "WTF" in my head, and had to stifle my laughter. What a selling point!

The point was probably that patients tend not to even notice the letters.

Plus the fact that a lot of hospital systems automatically print out your ID with MD on it, and i've noticed the same unfortunate labeling with many white coats in hospitals and practices.

just fyi, I know quite a few students at my school that declined US MD schools to come to my school!

if your heart tells you the DO school is a better fit for you, then by all means go to that school!

The reality is, after you graduate whether MD or DO, you are a physician and practices medicine. just pick the school that fit you most and go with it.

Best of luck!
