Hey, I just thought I would let the SDN community know about a new health/wellness show in New York City starring an osteopathic doctor called The Dr. Steve Show. It will start this Sunday the 17th on PIX 11. Dr. Steve Salvatore went to NYCOM and specialized in EM.

I think its really great that an osteopathic physician has been given his own show and hopefully he will be as successful as other TV docs like Dr. Oz. It seems that most people in this country get their information from tv so hopefully he will talk about his osteopathic background and people will become better acquainted with osteopathic medicine. That is awesome!! I do enjoy watching Dr. Oz and the Doctors and am always hoping to see some DO's on the show. Haven't seen one yet, but now hopefully we have our own on tv osteopathic advocate!!

That's really awesome. I hope there is some way to watch it online or something. I'd like to see if he ever mentions being a DO. I also hope this guy is paving the way so I can have my own show in a few years.

The Doctors have had several DOs on the show. Dr. Will Kirby (famous DO from Dr 90210) has made several appearances on the show, and recently they had a sports medicine physician DO from Duke on a segment. They also had a hair restoration surgeon from LA who is a DO, but I think it just said 'Dr ____' when he was on.

They also had an ENT that was a DO on the doctors.
