Sometimes RNG is amusing.

Mirrim is not very tactful, often acerbic, and a difficult to get along with dragon rider. She was the first woman in centuries to Impress a fighting dragon, and as a breaker of long-held traditions, this made many dislike her even more.

LIS is well liked, but I couldn't say with a straight face that he isn't often a bit grumpy and willing to say what he thinks. He's one of the only men in the sea of female SDNers, and often forges his own paths and ideas in lynches.

They are both good people, to the core. And you've killed'em.

Dead is @LetItSnow - Mirrim, who could block an individual every night.

That's right. And Kam was correct that lynching me is a bad move. I'm definitely village, and Kam wasy pretty darn sure of that.

She made the point that someone lied about tithing. I haven't. I tithed three times, where it was successful. My tithe last night was received by FB and can be confirmed by Lupin. FB revealed as a dragon so I have more reason to trust her than I do Promethean. I didn't lie, that leaves Promethean. He has been on a number of radars and I don't want to see him forgotten.

To the poor dead LIS, I picked up two votes fast at the end and did it out of self preservation. I thought the lynch was headed my way.

If you thought your double injured and therefore ability-less self was somehow more helpful to the village cause right now than LIS's blocking was, that would maybe have been a smart move.

The mod was so annoyed at the idiotic lynch that the game was rolled back a day and LIS is alive again.

You may all resume picking up with that stupid lynch.

The people of Pern retreated to their holds for the night, confused and saddened by their recent lynch of one of their own (annoying as she was). They tried finding answers to their questions, looking back in time to find the truth, and some just hunkered down, hoping their injured states wouldn't result in an early demise. Unfortunately, for some, their investigations were about to come to a final close. One rider had been trying to discover who was lying and who was telling the truth by verifying their claims with their actual actions. As the partner of the dragon with the best time sense on Pern, he could travel back in time, though timing it was difficult and dangerous. He was about to head out on another trip to the past when, out of nowhere, a knife flashed through the air and stabbed him in the side.

Dead is guisantes - Jaxom, rider of white Ruth, Lord Holder of Ruatha, who (every other night) could travel back to any night in the past and track a player's actions.

With a desperate keen, his brave little white dragon leapt into the air and disappeared between, to join his rider in death.

Dead is Filly Bay - Ruth, the white dragon with the best time sense on Pern.

The keen of mourning dragons was heard throughout Pern, but one thing could call them away from their pain and suffering: the call to fight their ancient foe, Thread. Ramoth issued her mighty bugle and the fighting wings assembled. The dragons flew bravely but due to their reduced health and strength some thread escaped their fiery breath and injuries were sustained by some holds. They retreated back to their weyrs at the conclusion of fall to regain their strength before thread falls again.

It is now Day 10. Lynch deadline is at 9PM CST/10PM EST.

Note: Telgar Hold has been closed due to low numbers. As there is only one hold remaining, the hold chat is no longer necessary and is hereby closed. Tithes will still be accepted nightly.

I do want to hear from Promo though. I didn't see that he answered whether or not those riddles are still happening, which seems very odd to me. And it makes me very uneasy that a bunch of us (this is why i need to do my own research at all times, sigh) were assuming he's a dragon.
 
WZ you are wasting your time lynching me. Two kills mean we either have two converts or a convert and an original. Promothean's BS riddling yesterday comes across very much like end game wolf.

With all the information he had earlier that he posted on the thread, he should have been dead days ago. You said yesterday the only reason you didn't lynch him earlier is because you thought he was a dragon. Maybe it is time to reconsider?

Also, if you read the writeup, you will see it was a rider/dragon pair death, so no, it was not a two kill night.
 
This is where I'm at right now, of course assuming we only have one wolf, which is the assumption I'm making because it makes sense. If we have two, gg wolves I guess:
Promo - blocked N8
Deva - blocked N9
Abs/lupin - only make sense for wolfiness as a pair, AM is insistent that Abs is good
AM - her defense of Abs yesterday read very much like a villager trying to save another to me. Especially since she was also up for lynch and easily could have turned it back on herself by getting votes off Abs.
RM - don't really have any concrete reason why he couldn't be the convert

I realize many of you (most of you?) don't have a concrete reason why I couldn't be the convert either. And that's fine. I would hope my play would speak for itself but it's not as good as being blocked on a night where a kill still occurred 🙂

Do you have a reason for us to think otherwise? Any evidence that there is more than one left?

Personally, with the high chance of the wolves getting two for one kills each time they find a rider, a total of 4 wolves, with one being an autoconvert (maybe) with an extra kill the night she turned, who presumably could have converted another if she hadn't died so quickly, and a chaos sounds just about right to me for a 27 player game. A vanilla 27 player game would be just about balanced with 19 villagers, 6 wolves. A convert is a little more valuable than an original though, and we know they've had at least two, and possible potential for another. Each convert is a subtraction of a villager and the addition of a wolf with a built in cover. Add in the extra kills and the chaos and I think it makes sense.

Promo had several people saying he was a bad lynch. Yeah, villagers can be wrong, but I'm just not seeing much actual evidence to disagree with that consensus. Still, I think it would be a good idea for him to clear up the couple questions I had.

No, I haven't yet heard more riddles. Some of that might be related to tithing abilities/being blocked/injuries, etc.

As for my riddling, it wasn't meant as such. It is just that assumptions were being made based on the idea that I had confirmed myself as Dragon, when I had not said so. I've only gone so far as to say that I receive tithes, and that recipients of tithes are either Dragons or Riders. There is a good reason for keeping up a smoke screen about which, as was demonstrated by the events of the night.

If I confirm Rider, I'll certainly be killed because that will net a Dragon, too.
If I confirm Dragon, I'm a lower value target and it makes randomly killing others to search for my Rider a better deal, since that also drops the villager number and has the side benefit of maybe taking out two for one.

I doubt that there is another complete Dragon/Rider pair out there at this point, with the loss of FB and Guis, so I might have to reveal if pushed today. I think that today is going to be critical one way or the other.

Anything else I'm failing to address? Oh, yeah... I think I got my own tithe today, but I can't use it myself because tithes don't work that way. And I am threadscored for the second time so I don't think that I would be able to use any tithes sent to me beyond today.

Any concerns about the person who the riddles were coming from? Because it sounds like it could be a loss of ability. Just seems weird to me that there hasn't been anything on that end since very early in the game.

I'm willing to give you today because you are right that it would not be ideal for the wolf to know, but you understand that it is a bit troubling because a lot has been riding on the assumption that you couldn't be converted. Perhaps it is a good thing FFM redirected LIS to you after all, since we at least have that to go on.

Honestly, I didn't really like any of the candidates. Promethean is my top suspect, but there wasn't any movement to indicate support for it. As for switching, yesterday's lynch was a last minute mess. I was trying to avoid a tie which would have been a lovely play for the wolves.
 
RM is definitely setting off alarms for me after yesterday. At this point I feel like the only convert options could be him, WZ, AM, maybe Lupin (but taking yesterday into consideration I doubt it is AM, and of course lupin would have to have been rezzed non villager, which I don't think is very likely)...out of those options, I am most wary of RM.

Well, unless I am totally mixed up from my convos with him, I don't think he can be the bad guy. Deva was blocked the other night, so I have her low. FB had expressed concerns about WZ, as did Kam, but I haven't seen anything wolfy in her posts in my opinion.
 
--to add: I suppose abney could be a possible convert too, but that goes along with AM who was willing to vouch for her.

oh scratch that, I do actually have it in my sheets something else. Hrm. I see WZ said that promo was blocked N8 though. I dunno. I am all kinds of confused now.
 
It is hard for me not to want to lynch RM, given how eager RM has been to lynch me.

There is a healing item (numbweed) floating around, but I'd rather not use it myself. I don't think that it is critical that I be able to use tithed abilities. So, thanks for the offer, but maybe someone else could use a heal? (I tithed, so I can't talk in private. Might as well shout my answers out to all.)

And that is why there was nothing to be gained for me personally by pointing out that I never made that claim. If I were wolfy, I'd do everything possible to keep y'all thinking that I had said that. After all, what a nice cover to hide behind! It is just that the benefit of the wolf not knowing for sure is greater than the harm done by having village a little uncertain as well.

To recap, who all is injured (besides me, Promo, RM?)

Numbweed-holder can send it to someone else, I don't think my ability is super important.
 
I am always a villager and never once managed to convince folks of that when I have been up for lynch. Go ahead and close early. No point stretching out the inevitable.

Bah. You've never once been successfully lynched, either.

We are looking for a convert. It could be almost anyone.

The only thing that argues against it being you is how much you talk about offing me. If you were the convert, you'd have probably done it by now.
