Hey Everyone,

I did not see a Duke DPT thread for this cycle!

I am going to be submitting my application soon and would love to hear from other applicants when they are applying and if they have heard back!

I heard back a few days ago inviting me to an interview! I submitted my application in mid August, so I’m sure they’re getting around to everyone soon!

I got an interview too! What date was yours for? I am so pumped. Congratulations!!!!!
 
I know some people in this thread interviewed on the 13th…has anyone heard back?? I know they said a week, which would be tomorrow so I’m just curious if we’re all waiting!

i have not heard back yet either! I was interviewed on the 13th too

Anyone heard anything today? I sent off an email asking for an update. Will report back when they respond. The wait is slowly killing me.... lol

The wait is killing me too. I interviewed the 13th at well and every day praying I get a call. I really hope today is the day. However, if it makes you feel better it looks like we all are in the same wait.
 
Got an email back from admissions. They said every applicant should know by tomorrow (Friday, 23rd). The wait continues, but I am glad I'm not the only one dying to know!

I got straight up denied lol...glad to at least get my very first PT school interview out of the way 🙂 Huge congrats to everyone who got accepted!!!
 
Hi! I have my interview with Duke on Tuesday and I was curious for those of you that have been accepted if they required a payment and for you to confirm acceptance or not? I know they aren't supposed to until January 15th and I am trying to keep all options open until then for other circumstances but was curious what has happened so far?

Current cycle applicant. For me the letter of intent was due two weeks from the day they emailed out the acceptance letter. Deposit isn't due until Jan 15th.

Sorry for the late reply. Here are my stats:

GPA (Cumulative, Science, and prereq): 3.95
GRE: 162 verbal, 163 Quantitative, and 5.0 Writing
Shadowing: 205 hours + 1300 hours patient care exposure as CNA
Letters of Rec from Science Professor, and 3 DPTs

When I interviewed they said that after you get an interview nobody really reviews your stats again and your acceptance is pretty much entirely based on your interview score. So, your stats will just get you in the door, but wont make or break you if you get an interview.

Hi, just curious, for those of you who got interviews, about how long after you submitted your applications did you hear from Duke about setting up the interview?

Yes! I received an email this morning with my acceptance in addition to a call from the DPT who interviewed me!
 
Hello guys, I have an interview this coming Wednesday and I’m super nervous because I really want to do my best and get accepted!! Does anyone have any tips for me? Anything would be greatly appreciated!!
