It wasn't anything truly role related. Just that I was Hannibal but given a cover role that was a genuinely good character in the show and I used judicious role reveals in pms to pocket people who then defended my villageness to their death because "there's no way that character is a wolf"

Thats why I said it depended on how much they needed the misyeet. Either way is giving a wolf the option, and that always is no bueno, and will avoid it if possible
