Anybody know if Emory emails out their acceptances too? From the packet I got at the interview, they say they mail out decisions every month, but I don't know if that's snail mail or email? I just want to know how I should react to an empty Inbox come Oct. 31. Haha. I might just have to spend halloween week stalking the mail man.

I'd assume the acceptance would be sent by regular mail but I'm guessing you could call the office. I wonder if anyone had any guesses when the last interview that would go to the comittee for this month would be. I'm interviewing there in a week and a half and wasn't really sure.

One student told me that he received a phone call, and another student showed me the packet they sent her in the mail. She did say that she got the packet in 1 day though... so since my birthday is October 31st, I'm sort of hoping for a birthday surprise from Emory 🙂

GRRR....Oct 31 is way too far away!!!!

how long did it take you guys to be complete? emory's site says they still haven't received my letters, and it has been a couple of weeks.

Well, my letters were uploaded via Virtual Eval so I think they got them the next day. You might as well call and check, the admissions office staff is SO NICE!

Oh, and I just got a reply back saying they mail them via post office. 🙁 Guess I'll just be attacking the mail man for the first few days of November!

Everything except my letters has been complete for 2 weeks but they still don't have my letters that were sent out about 3 weeks ago. I checked with my school that sent them and they have deff. gone out but Emory told me they have so much mail they might not have gotten to it yet. I hope they find them soon b/c I am tired of checking my status everyday.

Same here

this delay can screw our chances

Yeah...that's why it was nice to go to the Virtual Eval route, no messy paperwork. Hope everything pans out for you guys! Don't worry, their first interview date was Oct. 5, so their interviews have really only JUST got going, it's early yet 🙂

Mine were sent through Interfolio 2 weeks ago as well. I spoke with the admissions receptionist this morning and she said they had like 70 applications to download from Interfolio and that they were just backlogged. She didn't seem to urgent about it so....😕:scared:

Hmm, that's interesting. Did she look up your specific application? I e-mailed to ask about my LOR's, which were uploaded to Virtual Evals in late August. I think my e-mail sped things up a bit because they downloaded my LOR's and marked my app as complete 2 business days later.

No, she almost seemed put off that I had called. But I emailed them over this past weekend about my LORs and never heard anything back. I'll give it another couple of days and we will see what transpires.

Mine were sent in mail 1 month ago, and they still don't show up as received. When I called I got a recording. I emailed and they emailed back saying they didn't get them and have a backlog of mail. They are very frustrating with being late and then taking so long after getting started.

My evals were through VirtualEvals as well, but it still took almost two weeks for my online status to indicate that Emory received them.

Anyone gotten an invite from Emory lately? The interview thread shows a lot when the very first people got complete, but not much since then... I was complete 10/5 and I know it hasn't been long, but I'm wondering if there has been a steady stream or several short bursts since September. Also, I got caught in the VirtualEvals backlog too, but after I emailed, it was resolved within a day.

Yeah, it seems to have slowed down. I wonder why. I was complete at 9/28 and still no word.

Relax dudes, I was just there this week interviewing and they still have 35 more days for interviews to plan. Plenty plenty of time.

It took them almost a month to receive my letters after I sent them so I think that they really do just have a lot of mail. I am sure we all sent our stuff in on the same day after we finally got the secondary. The good thing is that it only took them a day after they "received" my letters to process them and give me the status complete email so don't worry I am sure they get to your stuff soon and hopefully be calling us soon.
