For those who have interviewed at Emory, what did you guys think of the program? I was very impressed at the interview. I think the opportunity and experience at Emory is hard to pass up, but the tuition is a bit overwhelming.

Did they mention if they've sent out their rejections already? I applied there towards the end of their application cycle and haven't heard back from them.

They did not mention anything rejection letters. I did go to one of the first interviews from my understanding. One of faculty members, she said was leaving to go review more applications, so there is still hope!

I'm fairly certain rejections haven't gone out yet. Emory did away with their rolling deadline this year (supposedly, but from what I've read some people had interviews before Feb. 1?) so they are probably still reviewing apps.

I'm attending the interview session on Friday and am super excited. I interviewed last year (and was wait listed) and absolutely fell in love with the program. Currently I have a deposit down at USC but if I get into Emory I'm going to have a very tough decision to make.

Lucky- the cost is definitely overwhelming! When did you interview and have you received a final decision from the committee yet?

I interviewed on 2/8. I received my acceptance email one week later. The cost is overwhelming, but I felt extremely comfortable with the faculty and facilities. Those are very important for me which why I have put down a deposit there. I am still waiting on a few more schools, but I am confident I will end up at Emory!

I'm glad to hear they had a quick turn around time. Do you per chance know how close they are to filling their class?

How'd the interview go? Any advice for those of us getting ready to interview? Thanks and congrats on your acceptance

Gator- when is your interview?

I'm attending the interview session tomorrow (march8) as well. I haven't participated in any group interviews yet. Getting nervous but I am looking forward to seeing the program.

Well I'll see you there! About to board my flight to ATL. Don't stress, last year the whole day was really chill. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming. It'll be a long day but the interview portion itself is only about half an hour.

I got my acceptance letter via e-mail yesterday. Anyone else?

Just got an interview for the 22nd or 29th! I'm going to attend on the 29th! What was the interviewing process like?

It's overall very relaxed. You'll take a tour of the campus/facilities, meet students for lunch, and have a small group interview. The day concludes with a social/reception with faculty. Its a very long day, so just be prepared.

Congrats on the interview... I'm a first year at Emory's program and last year the day was very long but I felt like I came away from the interview experience with a solid feel about the values, intensity, and philosophies of the programs.

Like other posters have said, the interview itself is only a very small piece of the day and it is a group interview. The professors don't ask questions to trick you and they are meant to get to know you better. Other activities include an introduction with Dr. Kapasi who is the director of the program, a tour of the facilities (Med School, Center for Rehab Medicine, main campus, etc), a lunch with the current students and faculty, and ample time to get to know the other applicants.

My advice would be to enjoy the day and interact with the professors as much as possible.

Good luck, and let me know if you have any other questions and I'll answer as best I can.

Have people heard back from the March 29th interview session?
