So what are your thoughts on SAR’s thoughts on Samac here:

General ambivalence. It's not a bad take, I don't think, I just don't really agree with the conclusion at this point.

But full disclosure, I'm one of the people samac is PMing with and I'm particularly prone to PM pocketing.

I’m terrible at day 1 reads and don’t have a huge POE at this moment but I’m honestly considering April or AM because them leaning me as village this early on wigs me out.

Is it just because they're village reading you? Is there any other reasoning?

Oh i just forgot to answer it. You sitting on MsP bugs me because you love to claim that you're doing the most for village. However, sitting on MsP who hasn't been here for several hours does nothing to help village

I know AM has already moved her vote, but I've seen her place pressure votes like this as a wolf and a villager. What about this time makes you think it's wolfy?

I think one of them might have been trying to pocket me given there was all the talk on thread about how difficult I am to read.

Well I put it in my notes but by the time I saw it, AM had already called it out so I didn’t see a reason to say so on the thread. But my first thought was what the heck is she referring to? Must be a rojo from wolf chat.

Sigh. You said I was suspicious for “pushing zenge” when all I did was place a vote on him with an explanation for why. You placed a vote on me with an explanation for why. The amplitude of “pushing” was the same.

Wasn't about me. I checked. It was about the fact that some people, who are not me, can't keep it limited to game specific critiques and seem to be crossing into personal insults. So maybe the argument is my style triggered others to act out? But that's a clown argument. We are adults and should own our own actions.

Idk. Point being that this is still a forum paid by ads so it does need to remain TRULY about the game if you're going to get angry about my tactics.

Edit: at least that's what I gut from quickly talking to the mods. I don't want to put words in their mouths but I've been doing this forever and this is the first time it's gotten mod flagged but they clarified it wasn't about me and then said a little bit extra and that's my interpretation.

I’ve mentioned the wolf thing I think. I got a write up about a party as I left the north and pippy put a strong hint in it that I originally didn’t pick up on, but then when I started thinking about your teapot I made connections.

I don't feel good about this. It's okay-ish if you start from the assumption that Samac is village (tbf, I am leaning that way at this point). But establishing one person as a point of contact invites that person to withhold information as they deem useful. There's little downside even as village. You can see how this would be a problem if Samac is a wolf.

Think it was the last game I played I was thinking it was weird I always though she was thrown into my village pile and then she ended up being a wolf. So I guess I am just kinda scared of reading April

I never understand the whole "I'm withholding my vote" thing. It always looks like someone fang'd being hesitant to get too committal and instead looking for an easy place to put a vote.

It also takes away the opportunity to investigate why someone changes their vote if they sit around not doing anything until the very end.

I did not take your teapot, but I think I spelled out what character I think did. I’ve been trying to get them to subtly let me know so I could take them out of my POE, but I don’t think anyone caught on because I’m **** at subtly and one of the remaining 2 in the north I’m pretty certain is wolf.

I hope it's because April (edit: fixed typing error) has basically admitted that they would prefer to lynch someone who even they agree is probably a villager and everyone has told them is probably a villager rather than put up with a style that she is uncomfortable with. So I hope it's because they are not going to tolerate really bad strategy being openly flaunted as reasoning for a vote.

This was not the level of reasoning I was hoping for. But I'll take it.

You can disagree with people without being mean. You can stir things up without being mean if that's your goal. You can even make people real angry without being mean if that's your goal. Yet you choose to do so anyway. I know that's not going to change about you, so I'd rather just see you yeeted. Strategic or not. It does help that you are a strategic yeet in my opinion.

They really are. but that's sort of what we have to deal with day one. It's really hard to get concrete feelings on someone when you don't know the identity of anyone except for yourself.

but I can't get over the fact that you are openly endorsing really bad strategy. If you could at least have approached this from the perspective of saying that you do believe that I am a wolf pulling off some master class in convincing everyone who knows me well that this is my normal village approach. If you said that, I would be more open to letting slide on really bad strategy. But you didn't say that. You have acknowledged that you've noted how many people have said I'm a probably a villager and have openly admitted that you're placing this vote because you don't like my posting style.

I said it a few hours ago. Bad strategy is bad strategy. I don't need people who are going to make dumb decisions down the line. I don't know how long I get to live in this game for, but I am not letting people who are prone to making bad decisions stick around because who knows what the next decision down the line will be where you make a really poor strategic choice. It's not like this is round six or seven and we have lots of information. It's round one, and you are already endorsing that you would prefer to be happy rather than Make the best strategic move for winning. This is a game about stats and winning.

I want to clarify about my second to last sentence. I don't mean that I know the best strategic move. I phrased it oddly. I mean more that their move is very clearly a statistical loser in a game where every single move has some risk and chance attached to it. So it's less so that they are not choosing to make the statistically best move, it's that they're making a clearly statistically bad move.
