Etiquette cancelling interviews

I have way too many interviews scheduled and now want to start canceling some. How much advance notice should you give? One week too short?

I have been interviewing for a few weeks now and am just wanting to stop - it is too much! this is for FM, and I already have the interviews I want and some places already ranked (in my head). Any advice for how to politically cancel interviews? Some are far out in Dec but some are very soon.

As soon as you know you want to cancel it you should. There is no sense in going if you have no interest in the program (even if it is only a week away) - it wastes your time and money and wastes the program's time and efforts. Just call and cancel. The more in advance you can do it, the better, so they can potentially schedule someone else who wants to be there.

This has been discussed many times...

You can cancel either by calling the program coordinator, or e-mailing the program coordinator. The sooner you cancel the better. One week is fine, but if you know you aren't going to interview somewhere you should politely cancel.

I think one week is fine. They won't be mad. Just do it if you need to. Ideally, give them a couple weeks or more, but 1 week is fine. A polite email should suffice.

Hey c'mon guys, don't make fun of me. I am really pooped, big time! 🙁

Seriously, I have been in too many airports and too many hotels and not enough time in my own home lately. My brain is really getting fried. I probably did post about this but at 0100 last night after getting home from the airport I just couldn't remember what I said when.
