i will take the exam in january, i am currently going through the examkrackers biology portion which i think it is a great set of boooks..but i think the preparation needs more than two months, i am also going through the kaplan book ,
who else is using the examkrackers , what do you think of these books, how you are studying , and tips on how to study, and how you will prepare for the next exam if you are not using examkrackers?

Here is what I did.
1.Skim thru Kaplan and look at major concepts. Skip thru detailed crap. Go back to text book to read up on concepts forgotten.

2. Pull out Ochem book. Review nomeclature and RXNS, functional groups.

3. Skim thru anatomy/physio/microbio notes/cliffs review books and skim thru Kaplan's bio review. IF YOU HAVE TIME

4. I didn't study for english and i reviewed some major calc formulas

5. Buy pcat Harcourt practice tests, they are slightly easier but for bio and math it's very good. Chem and english, it's easier.

6. DO as many practice test from Barrons and Cliffnotes.... Then read up concepts u missed.

There is just so much info, you got to just do the best u can.

Good luck.

I highly recommend the ExamKrackers 101 passages in MCAT verbal. It's definitely harder than the PCAT and some of the questions are particularly frustrating, but it'll prepare you well. Reading was probably my weakest area when I started preparing for the PCAT, and I managed a 92 in that section with plenty of time left over (about 20 min). With 101 passages, there's plenty of practice to be had.

i phrased it wrong...i meant i only used the examkrackers bio and chem books (as opposed to their verbal + math book)

i used kaplan as well for these sections...basically i just took notes on all the chapters and re-learned the material, and since i took ochem last year it was fresh in my mind so that wasn't a problem.

i took the kaplan pcat course but got my money back because it wasn't worth 1000+ dollars. i DID however keep the practice problems and i used those to practice for chemistry.

i'm not a genius like some of the people on this forum (haha) so i give a lot of credit to the bio + chem sections in kaplan + examkrackers

thanks alot my friend for the chemistry materials they look great questions, how are they related to the pcat, do you have other portions like biology ,..i thank u again🙂

i don't, sorry..i only kept the chemistry stuff because that's what i was the weakest in

Hi Nev12345 and everyone who have used examkracker.
Did you buy the whole set?
I can't afford the whole set. And it's not worth it because I only have a month left for the test. Moreover, we won't be using Physics section. It won't be enough time to study all material. Can you recommend me the specific one to buy?

I currently have:
MCAT Chemistry 3rd edition .-- Amazing! Simpler explanation. but not enough practice problem
101 Passages in MCAT verbal reasoning - Haven't touched it yet.

What are the others that you recommend: I am thinking about:
Examkracker 1001 Question in MCAT Biology
Examkracker 1001 Question in MCAT Chemistry
Examkracker MCAT Verbal reasoing and Mathematical Techniques.

Unlike PCAT, I don't think MCAT have the analogies/sentence completion and Quantitative part. I might have to find the practice for those somewhere else. Do they have Examkracker for Quantiative?

Anyway, my weakest area is Chem and reading!
