Explaining a transfer to adcoms?

I’m wondering if adcoms will ask about a transfer if you go from a top private school to a top public school.

I’m transferring because I just don’t like the school fit/environment, and I’m wondering if they would care if I straight up told them this. I don’t have a clear academic reason I could tell them because I’m going to be majoring in the same thing. I can’t really use cost or location either as it doesn’t cost much less and I’m not instate. Will this be a problem, or do adcoms not really care?

They shan't care and it shan't hurt you. "I was unhappy there" is a perfectly legit reason.

As long as the top private school doesn't have a medical school you want to apply to then you are fine. However, I know people that transferred out of a school and then applied to the school they transferred out of medical school. This caused a lot of problems and raised a lot of eyebrows. There are plenty of programs, just be able to own your own answer for why you transferred.
