I just got denied acceptance. Fair enough I asked how I could make my application stronger. The email I got said-the only reasons you were denied acceptance is because you're missing biology (took it and for an A) and missing physics (said to be not required on their site). Soooo why again?!

I got rejection email as well. Reason: incomplete, missing 1 OT LoR, but i did send it. They emailed me 1hr before they took their christmas vacation. Didnot give me a chace to explain .... Sigh . I should not bother to apply this school dispite their bad rep from previous applicants .

I'm sorry you both had to go through that. I guess it's hard to stay organized with so many applicants coming in. Physics is a requirement I believe but definitely not a deal breaker as a few applicants who came in to interview didn't have physics completed yet. Did you guys apply to other schools? Don't worry, I bet you guys will get into a great program! Keep positive!

I have applied to other schools but am just disappointed with how SMU handled things. I do not want to go to a school that is that unorganized that they can't find the right info about their potential students so am not upset about not going- but wish I didn't waste time and money on them because by choosing SMU i eliminated another school. Oh well- lesson learned.
