My parents live in Shanghai at the moment, so I'd probably tell my brother and sister-and-law and then all my friends. Then Facebook spam an "Accepted" status. Then force my friends to begin organising an opulent, over-indulgent congratulatory dinner & drinks for me.

Then finally I'd become humble about it once I have to start looking into how I'm actually going to embark on the next stage of my life. 😳

Honestly, I would tell my parents, brothers, and close friends. Then I would only tell people who ask. I wouldn't post on facebook because some people I know who didn't get an acceptance might be offended by it or think I'm showing off.

Haha, no. I've never been dumped so spitefully nor have I done the same to someone else before. I haven't been cheated on either. And I've gone through my share of relationships. I'm just saying, it might provide some semblance of catharsis.

My one buddy, an established doctor who rakes in close to $450K per year, has offered me an interest free loan as long as I provide his family with free dental services. Where do I sign up!! To make things even sweeter, he said when I start my practice someday, I can rent a space from the officeplex he owns at a below market rate. What a friend. You people need to spend more time making friends like this and less time on the loser deadweight bfs/gfs (and on SDN of course).

My ortho, who rakes in 800k a year, offered to sell me one or more of his 3 practices when I become an ortho myself. He's like 50 this year and plans on retiring soon. He already has tons of money, and even calls money boring. Dude takes 4 months of vacation a year. It's nice when you have a hot date, and asks her where she wants to go, Rome? Tokyo? Bangkok? and you just go hahaha.

Now the hard part is to become an ortho...🙄

He started off as my doctor and then we became football watching friends and are now very close buddies. I kind of hinted about his earnings one day since he lives near the beach, lives in a million dollar home, drives an $80K car, and to my surprise he revealed the truth. Point of the story: football brings people together (or a $400K interest free loan!).

Definitely my Grandma. As long as I sound really excited, she is going to be just as, or even more, excited than I am.

As far as what I will be doing on December 1st, I will just say that the motto of the day will be "cupcakes for everyone." Cupcakes for my family, the dental office I work at, the people who wrote me recommendations, my lab group, my German class, and pretty much anyone I see on a daily basis. December 1st shall be better than Christmas.

If I get accepted, that is.
