Just for some insight: Last year I faced the same situation, having an acceptance to UF but my top choice being UCF. I accepted at UF, then got a call from UCF a week or two later. It’s too risky to not accept a school to wait for another. I accepted at UCF when I got the call then emailed UF respectfully rescinding my initial acceptance. Good luck everyone!

When did you roughly hear back from both schools? I haven't heard back from either yet.

I heard back from UF mid December. Then I was waitlisted for UCF mid February and accepted at the end of February.

Is anyone going to the UF visit day this Friday?

I am! I went to an open house there last year and really liked the program. Looking forward to getting a more comprehensive look at it next week.

Awesome, maybe I'll see you there!

Has anyone heard anything from any schools?

Still no word from Nova Southeastern Ft. Lauderdale. Super confused as to why I haven't heard anything yet lol.

That's so weird! Have you tried contacting them?

I haven't either. I called and they said not to expect anything until February. So annoying!!

I got an interview invite from UCF for January 26th! If anyone here has interviewed with them already, would you mind providing any insight on what their interview experience is like and what to expect? Thanks in advance and congratulations to all of you who are getting interviews and acceptances!

The faculty and current students made the interview feel really comfortable! Most of the questions were situational and different for every person in the room. If you look a few pages earlier, some people offered a more detailed insight on the questions being asked. Good luck!

Just be prepared for random questions, not really related to PT. Each person gets a different question. Just be honest and be yourself! Something reassuring they said to me is that there is no right answer, so don't be afraid to speak your mind or feel like you're saying the wrong thing, they just want to get to know you to see if you're a good fit for the program!

can you let us know how it goes? I was invited but am unable to go.
It was a pretty good day. There were around 60 applicants there and apparently it is the only visit day they are holding this year. The director even told us at the end that being invited to the visit day is a good sign and he said that decisions will be sent out "soon."
It was pretty similar to an open house in my opinion. Only differences were the small group Q&A sessions with the faculty and the reception at the end. You should definitely try to attend an open house if you haven't done so already.

It was really informative, as I have never been to an open house at UF DPT before. The faculty and students were all super nice and very informative about the program, and they stressed how community service based this program is. We got to see their pro bono clinic, which was really cool! And the reception was lovely, and we got to interact with students and faculty and ask any more questions that we had. It was probably the most welcoming open house type of event that I have been to! I think UF is now my number one choice after going to this event!

thank you! Glad you had a good time. I really wish I could have gone. Did they say when we should expect to hear from them?

They kept saying soon, they wouldn’t really give us a direct answer. I’m hoping it’s sometime within the next few weeks!

Did anyone get invited to visit day that already attended or is attending UF for undergrad?

Quite a few of the students there went or were currently going to UF for undergrad

Does anyone knows what's up with UCF? They said they filled all their interview spots for the 26th (the last interview date), and my friend has already gotten a rejection email from them. But I haven't gotten a rejection or an interview call.

I just declined my interview so maybe you will get a call soon!

When I interviewed with them they said that a majority of their decisions will be made after the last interview date, however, the faculty that interviewed you also has the power to accept you right after your interview. I know people are still waiting to hear back from a lot of schools, so some spots might open up after that! Don’t worry too much!

Did you guys get a call or an email?

Accepted to UF aswell! Were ya'll invited to the visit day this past week?

Got accepted at UF and yes I went to the visit day
Congrats!! What time did everyone get their email today? Because I got an invite to the visit day but I have not heard anything from UF yet.

I got the email at 830 this morning.

Congrats!!

Thank you!! 🙂 It is a very strong program. Now that I have options it is difficult to decide though. This weekend I was accepted to American International College, yesterday I was accepted to Usciences in Philly, and today USF. I have an interview at UNT Health Science Center coming up in February.
Did you apply to USF as well and have you heard back yet?

That's awesome! Good luck with your interviews! And USF is actually the only school I haven't heard back from yet, but it wasn't my top choice so I'm not too upset about that. I did work at USF DPT as a research assistant, and it is a very strong research program and they have a great facility!

Thanks!! I'll just have fun with this last interview! That's so weird that you haven't heard back yet though, especially since you worked their..and thanks for the information about the research/faculty. So what schools did you get into?

Anyone that heard back from UF out of state? I'm OOS and haven't heard anything yet
