Funny license plate: MCAT40S

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
 Well...if I had gotten a 40S, I'd be proud, too.

haha...this one's gonna make a very humble doc!

LOL i love it 😛 you should of snapped a pic 😀

if a 40S was the only thing in my life ever worth putting on a license plate I think i'd drive my car off a bridge right after putting that plate on.

Having some silly saying on your license plate is sort of cheesy anyway.

i know of a neurologist that has SEIZURE on the plates of his Hummer. that's actually sorta cool.

I've seen a cardiologist's car with the license plate ARTERY.

Know an orthopod with "BONESRX".

An anesthesiologist I used to work with had "ISED8EM" and "ISED8U" on the two cars he had for himself and his wife (a CRNA) respectively

Geez, getting a 40S on teh MCAT is a feat but hardly worth of a license plate if you ask me. Matching into neurosurgery...ok, that's something worthy of a license plate.

I know an Immunologist with the plates "IMMUNE" on his Bentley and "APTOSIS" on his X5.

Bentley!?!? 😱

lol, it's not that hard for most successful specialists to buy a Bentley if they really wanted to. I think it's a more a matter of whether you want to be flashy like that and waste tons of money on a car.

I mean, when you make $140K a year post-tax, if you save up your money you can pretty much buy any car you've dreamed of, save for maybe the Veyron (and even then if you saved up long enough you could probably buy it).

It's still a huge waste of money though lol, I'd rather save up my money and just retire a bit earlier (well, not really retire, but light part-time work). But then again lord knows I'd be really tempted to go buy a RUF Rt12 lol

If I'm not mistaken, there's a yellow ferrari in Westwood/UCLA that has the plate "STMCHDR" or something like that...

lol, i hadn't even read these bentley posts before i put mine up. and they say medicine is going downhill...

What about a Geo Prism with chipped paint that has the plate: "FAMMED"

Also... I'd get a car with the plate "MCAT41T" just so I could follow him around and park next to his car wherever he went.

I've seen the ApTOSIS X5 too...its always parked outside Med. Surg I at UCI

ohh what?? where at garden grove? im volunteering at garden grove hospital lol

 Well...if I had gotten a 40S, I'd be proud, too.

The jokes going to be on him/her when s/he gets to med school and realizes no one cares and s/he has to prove him/herself all over again. It's really no different than putting high school honor student on your car -- great for the time, but kind of silly when you eclipse that (or fail miserably at the next stage).

It is not that hard to buy a ferrari, specially with a physician salary. It's a waste of money, seeing as they depreciate so fast, but I'm determined to at least have one lambo, ferrari or exotic car in my life. If not I'll just conform with a corvette or porsche turbo 🙂

Then I'd get one with "MCAT42T" just so I could follow you around and park next to you 😉

my favorite: AUG UAA

start and stop (codons)?

Docs with obvious custom tags could as well have SUMEAMRICH (Sue me; I'm rich) on their license plates.

👍 Trudat.

Somebody needs to post the Seinfeld clip where Kramer accidentally gets the "ASS MAN" license plate.

I'm embarrassed to say my dad has NEURODR

and his email is orneurodoc

yes and hahahahha that's awesome. i'd want that.

This is very nerdy, but every time I see "AUG" as in the expiration date "August" on a license plate, I think of the methionine start codon.

microgal, do you like microbiology? Or are you a small person?

My mom is an OBGYN and always threatened me and my brother that she would get a vanity plate that said "VAGDOC" ... she's a little crazy like that anyways

microgal, do you like microbiology? Or are you a small person?

I'm tiny!!!!!

No just kidding I work in a clinical microbiology lab and I'm a huge infectious disease nerd. I just grew the plague for my experiment yesterday...seriously.
(it was an attenuated strain though so I guess that isn't as cool).

Not hard to buy a Ferrari on a physician's salary? Somebody's been looking at the Allied Health physician salaries again. You need to be pulling at least $400K before you even THINK about a new Ferrari, because Uncle Sam will take his half, and a cheap Ferrari is $200K or more. And spending 100% of your net income for a year on a car = stupid.

Ditto for the Veyron. :laugh::laugh::laugh:

That's right. Its here all the time. I work in Med Sci 1 right now.

I saw a PV NRT license plate in gross point, michigan a few years ago.
